Have a check with the transmission drip pan the gasket might be shot man! Also super impressed with the JZX100! she's so clean 😍
The leak is coz of that cork gasket. Replace that with a rubber one and should be good. It doenst look like it should be a transmission out job, but dont take my word for it. Good luck!!!
I've used cork gaskets for transmissions before and they don't leak..
Shreda125 Hilux but in this case you can clearly see the fluid coming out all around the gasket, so it would make sense that thats where the problem is

Looks mint lowered, I recommend cleaning up those coilover threads and put some anti-seize on them, be easier to adjust next time

Ah, the chrome rims. I've never quite known what to make of them. Ditched some (aftermarket) from a late 90's MB S600 and didn't regret it. But they are undoubtedly favored by some. So, whatever you like is what is best for you. Good luck.

Looks good. There's not much to like about the wheels, so I'm with you. There are two ways you can go, one being best performance and the other is to go with what everyone at this second agrees looks really good. Being a bit of a rebel, I mostly tend toward the first category which in this case would be 17 or 18" wheels, dictated by the choice of tires available. The best would be 15" or 16" but current fashion has made those impossible because of decent tires being unavailable. A choice to prioritize arbitrary style is also everywhere in the desire for the wheels to be far out which is often accomplished by fitting wheels with increased positive offset or even worse, spacers. This will beat up the wheel bearings, cause bump steer and generally make the car much worse and possibly really dangerous. Lastly get the right tire and wheel width; wide is good, too wide is extra unsprung weight and aerodynamic drag for no added benefit. So there you go. Have fun!
What you did was reduce the preload of the suspension by "lowering" the locking collar.
Yes you can lower the car like that, but it also has side affect of making the car potentially lose traction over rebound as the spring is providing little if any force to keep the wheel onto the ground.
Yeah makes sense but on these coils there's no other way to adjust em 😂
Shame the coilovers weren't base adjustable, you've just reduced your spring preload and it may or may not ride like shit. Oh well, just be wary of big bumps and the potential for bump steer.
Regardless, car is looking sick, can't wait for more chaser content.

get a new valve cover gasket kit and a new a340e oil pan gasket kit too and should fix most oil problems. Id also suggest re doing the entire belt assembly new tensioner all new pulleys with bearings and if you really wanna be safe replace front main and do 2jz oil pump with 2jz vvti from aristo water pump fits i believe on the jzx100 1j. I know it does on the jzx110 unless they are different do to clutch fan.

All coilovers are not ment to lower the vehicle. You adjusted your preload, your ride will probably be the shit's now.
Hey Rex my brother had the same issue with his a340 aswell we were pouring trans fluid and it was leaking out of nowhere until he took the pan off and the gasket was cooked, he replaced it and haven't had any leaks since.
I'm hoping it's the pan!

yo you should spray some wd40 on where your coil spring sits on the top collar, makes it 10x easier to spin.
Oh mate don't you worry I used nearly a full can while doing it 😂 should've shown but they were very lubed and very clean, just hard to turn because if the spring pressure
@@RexH ahhhh all g haha, had the same problem with my teins because of dirt sitting under the spring, after a spray and a few turns it got easier. Car looks heaps better lower. Make a meet after lockdown haha

also look into a steel wheel ct15 wideband eletronic boost controller and a future fab elbow. with that and a 3inch with boost turned up until boost cut you could make 320whp on that auto which is setup on my jzx110 auto. just dynod and was able to hit 19psi and hold to redline made 357whp and 388 ft lbs torque at wheels through the auto hahaha. now i just need to change goddamn final drive from stupid 3.7 to a 4.1 or 4.7. 1st goes to 90kmh 2nd 150 and 3rd well idek too long of gearing imo makes car very slow. gutting trunk also made a big difference was able to remove 110 lbs including spare tire and jack and sound packing now my mark2 110 weighs 3240 lbs instead of 3360 :)

@@RexH look into the aisin ar5 its exact same as a r154 holds same amount of power and cost under 1k direct bolt in with a r154 bellhousing and a mod on the stock auto trans brace shifter lines up perfectly and has better syncros then a late model r154. you want ar5 out of pontiac solstice and saturn redline all other models of ar5 wont line up and have shitty syncros. plus slave is built into trans so less parts needed to swap! a company near me does these swaps all time and have a customer with a 800whp turbo ls.. ive shifted one before and wayyyyyy smother then a tripod r154. compare picture to picture between two and they look exactly same aha

Rex, Not to sure on that specific transmission and its leaking problems but I recommend you check out one of Chris Fix's videos on how to replace a transmissions seal and filter all that stuff, Not sure if thats what you need but I thought I would just recommend it.
