I had an experience meeting a young mom when I was working in a medical center back in Chicago, she was only 12 years old when she had her baby. I asked the nurse in the center if that’s her other twin sister because her mother is also cuddling another baby and the nurse informed me that it is her own baby. She gave birth weeks after her mother gave birth to her sister. I have encountered 15-16 years old with babies but not as young as 12 years. There are programs here in the US that they incorporate in schools regarding becoming teen moms/dads. I hope they also have that in the Philippines so they’ll realize how life will it be when they have those responsibilities. Thank you Basel for sharing and helping us Filipinos.
