Appealing this to the Supreme Court will do nothing, since justice Thomas already gave his opinion on it and basically gave Cannon the green light to dismiss the case and wasnt judge Cannon who wanted a special council? What they need to do is produce a new indictment that will have a different judge.

This will be overturned on appeal. The Code of Federal Regulations, specifically 28 CFR 600.1 allows the AG to appoint a special counsel.
And it will also allow for Cannon to be removed and the case reassigned to another judge

If in the end the SCOTUS rules against Special Counsel then what happens to all the previous cases? I guess they would all have to be dismissed.
Which Special Council case are you referring to? I'm not familiar with any where the Special Council had not previously been appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.
The other Jan 6 cases were all prosecuted by the DOJ. None of that changes. What would happen here is someone in the DOJ would take the case over and still try him. This is actually a good thing that just happened. This will get appealed and she will be overturned. It will also remove her from the case and will then get a real judge.

He was appointed by Merick Garland (not POTUS) and was not confirmed by the Senate. Same appointment, same type of investigation, but not one word was uttered by Republicans (or anyone else) about his appointment being unconstitutional. The only difference is who was being investigated.

Sanctioned ? Removed ? For what? Making a ruling. Put the glass pipe down. And no matter how the 11th rules that is not the end. If they uphold the ruling then the DOJ will appeal ti the SCOTUS. If they rule against the Judge then President Trumps Team will appeal it t the SCOTUS.

Trump was charged with OBSTRUCTION after not complying with federal agents. Biden's team, on the other hand, reported the documents at his properties, which is why no charges were pursued in that case. If Trump had just done what Biden did, there never even would have been a case. Aileen Cannon is a political lackey. The system is corrupt.

Is it as simple as Smith didn't want to create the appearance of impropriety and not giving justice a chance? Stupid move which cost a lot of delay and an ultimate waste of time. Then again, the last Special Counsel, Mueller's findings seemed an obvious smack-in-the-face to justice. If nothing else, this makes the DOJ appear weak and fragile.
The DOJ has been weaponised by the left that’s why they allowed the charges. Goes to top judge and it’s a Ba Bow not constitutional it’s dismissed. Anyone can be charged with an offence, then you need to prove otherwise

He should go to trial and defend himself like any other American would have to if they stole hundreds of classified documents. It did happen and it was inevitable because it was clear from the start Cannon was on the side of Trump not the side of law. Trump picked judges for loyalty to him not for actual competency. His picks were so bad even Republican Kennedy tore apart one nominee. That nominee had zero time in the courtroom. Had no idea of basic legal terms a judge should know. Swore that obviously (when made a judge for life), he would "do a deep dive" on how to be a judge. Once they confirmed him and could no longer hold him to his promise. Cannon is only one of others like him who got confirmed.
It will get worse, much worse. All those Trumpian judges who still need their staff to walk them through a court case will be around for decades.

Agreed, but the decision to overturn Judge Cannon's decision will probably be appealed to the Supreme Court by Trump's legal team. That decision will be predictable given some of the past rulings.
