I had to upgrade because I do a lot of video editing/rendering and it is a very GPU intensive workload, I still have the 1080 Ti working next to my 3080 Ti, a lot of video editing software using them both. If there wasn't need for an upgrade for these video/3D rendering and AI applications that I work with then I still would use only the 1080 Ti. It is a great GPU. Glad to see it still keeping up with the new game titles.
For a 7 year old card to still be up to today’s standards is actually pretty impressive considering the newer architectures and updated graphics on most games. Goes down as one of the greatest in history
At this rate, this might be the only GPU that will be relevant for 10 years. Like i know there are older GPUs that people use but the 1080 Ti might just be the only GPU that could be called good even after 10 years.
This card back in 2018, 6 years later and it still runs all my games perfectly fine and even hold its own in new titles. Unfortunately with how bad games are being optimized nowadays I don't see any other card having anywhere near the lifespan of the 1080 TI.
It will be an old-fashioned card in terms of technology, but what it achieved in its time and what it continues to achieve gives it the title of "legendary."

The goat of cards by far! 7 years old!! WHATTTT?!? Sadly updating mine this year, served so well words cant explain! Only thing negative in recent years was the new games "Blurriness" because of the new architecture. STILL Pushing my 1080ti to the max....and believe me mine has seen the "light" several times with always perfect maintenance, it still performs amazing especially for the time it is. Hi kryzzp. So glad to comment after a while. I'm at programming college right now and I am enjoying the experience more than at high school. I am also playing GTA 5, getting 100+ fps with very high settings with advanced graphics turned off
My friend had that exact white gigabyte 1080ti model when it was new. The gaming experience on his pc was just surreal. I had just upgraded to 1060 6gb back then and it was good card too but 1080ti was just insane. And even though its 7 years old it still works very well in modern games. Remember, when 1080ti launched, the gtx 580 was 7 years old back then, and it would have been quite bad experience to use it in modern games at that point. The whole pascal line up is great tbh. My little brother is using gtx 1070 and it runs everything he plays very well. He doesnt play cod or the most demanding games but he gets 60fps in elden ring.
I used to own that EXACT same 1080 Ti model for 5 years and jumped to a Zotac 4080 Trinity OC for my 4K gaming TV setup, but gosh did this card last, It held up so good I skipped the most generations with it, still impressive for 1080p/1440p @144Hz for most games and even 4K on some, the most shocking thing was the sheer size difference between the cards but managed to make it fit. I even managed to resell it for 30% of the value I bought it so it was the best decision to keep it for as long as possible, in comparison the 4080 feels already lacking in some games while this one was a bit overkill for its gen and even held really good through the 20s Series/early 30s (Partially thanks to FSR), hope we'll see another legendary gen like this one from either competitor at more decent prices.

Happy birthday!! my first and fav gpu 🥳🥳🥳🥳
This was and still being my dream gpu back then when I was at high school 😂
The 4060M has the exact same performance with this gpu the fps is literally same with mine
This absolute beast of a GPU is what I use to this day. Didn't know its release was the same as my birthday :)
Your shot was on point in counter strike!
such a beast. I'd be tempted to buy one just as a collector's piece
I had this card for 6 years and now my son plays with it and is super happy 👌
1080 still work and strong card. Strong than 2060-2070 3060-3070 4060
It will be an old-fashioned card in terms of technology, but what it achieved in its time and what it continues to achieve gives it the title of "legendary."
I’ve been watching zwormz videos for years. It’s cool to see him improve more as I watch more of his videos overtime
THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT THATS WHY HES THE MVP THATS WHY HES THE GOAT, THE GOOOOAT
I've upgraded to a 4080 since my 1080ti was having issues but man, what a beast of a GPU it is and can still go at this day and age.
I remember getting my first 1080ti to replace my pair of 980tis...and being disappointed..
Less performance in benchmarks and especially in the SLI supported game library I have.
So what did I do???
Save up for a second one, of course! 😊
happy birthday beast 🥳🥳
i was just about to ask for this video today and its here.
And guess what!!! i play mostly LoL, few offline games (hogwards, cyberpunk etc) and Valorant, the fps are just ridiculous for my 280hz screen. Insane stuff at any 1080p screen!! Got 1300 fps in Ascent map custom. Happy fu******** birthday 1080ti !
Excelente video!! uso minha 1080ti founders edition e até hoje consigo rodar tudo em 1080p no high ou ultra
Obrigado! A Founders é muito bonita, ainda hei de trocar esta por uma FE!
as someone who pairs a gtx 1060 with an i7-3770 in 2024 I think the gtx 1080ti would be a great card for me to use
damn bro u played The final. I play this game sometime and I like that you can destroy anything.
Ive had my Ti sitting in my cupboard for like two years now, just about to buy a GPU docker as I've converted to a laptop. Won't be as good but it is still nice to see how it has held up to the test of time
GTX 1080 Ti and RX 580 have got to be two of the most bang for the buck gpus out there
Just bought a 1080 ti for 180$. It will be an awesome upgrade from a 1050 ti.
amazing value
@@dieglhix loving it rn definitely a great deal. I also got a cpu and motherboard and ram for free from ebay due to them listing it as working when the socket was bent up on arrival got it working so I got a whole gaming pc for 300$
@@yaboiminecraff now patiently accumulate steam games you like only when they are on sale.😎

7900X3D performs slightly better than 7800X3D because its L3 cache is a bit bigger but the cores are the same
I play cyberpunk 2077 with a 1080, and i get over 110fps with details on high and everything else on medium. It's still the greated card.
Funny how it closely shares its birthday with the Switch. Crazy.
It's amazing how well the 10 and 16 series cards have held up. They seem to do better than some of the earlier cards of equivalent power.
Ramadan Mubarak 🌙 brother
Happy birthday!
Nice video i have a gtx 1080 ti and i love it!
