What a wonderful way to start a Saturday morning! Thank you all.
Glad you enjoy!
I love how friendly your covers are.
Thanks! That means a lot. I think that simple arrangements and presentation(doesn’t mean they are always easy) display the beauty of certain songs in a different way than the original castings.
Ya know not a lot of people who are old enough to remember Donovan actually do. My screen name used to be 'They Call Me Mellow Yellow' and everyone thought I really liked soda pop.😂
Cool "Mellow Yellow"!!!
Big smiles here in north central Indiana on this Sunday morning. Cup of tea and one of the best feel good tunes. What can be better? It will be played alot today. Great guitar, just had to say. A huge Thank You to you all for the joy you bring to my life.
Thank you for tuning in each week and supporting what we do! It is very much appreciated!
love it.. so tight
Glad you like it!
That's some bluesy guitar! Also great voice! Keep it going!
Thank you so much!
no clue who you people are but we can dig it
Dis tha stuff
Dis or Dig? lol
@@SugarLimeBlue Dig fosho lmao. Fun cover and grrrreat vocals
Just found you guys a few weeks ago. Was going to suggest you do a Donovan song. Then I found this. 👍🙂 You’re the best!
Awesome! Thank you! Glad you found us!!
Donovan came from my home town Glasgow. Thanks for this great cover of one of his many great songs.
Thats fun! Do you guys have any funny local stories about him?
@@SugarLimeBlue Not really. He left Glasgow when he was young & was known in the early Sixties to hitch around with a guy called Gypsy Dave.
I have heard him tell the story about writing a verse for a Beatles song when they went to India to meet the Maharishi with Mike Love & Mia Farrow but George didn't use it.
I once had a cassette radio recording of a Glastonbury set featuring Donovan with the Roches but it disappeared into the ether. I must go looking for it.
You can never beat the original but I like this a LOT it's not trying to copy exactly you have taken the song and made it your own in a sense as in it is sunshine superman but with your own unique style to it I really like it
Thanks for letting us lend our style with an open mind! I hope you enjoy some of our other songs!
SugarLimeBlue there are a lot of covers that get a shit load of stick ohhh they're trying too hard or they're not trying enough nut you guys pulled it off and made it your own brilliant.
LOVIN TH CLASSICS'...
Us too!!
Nice and easy like Sunday Morning. Liked it.
Thanks for sharing Sundays with us!
Nice! And I saw Donovan with a date back around 1969 in So Calif perform this one live. I was more a jazz guy and Zappa lover, but it was still a lot of fun!
I still love Zappa - Lots of great stuff coming out of the vaults now (Meat Light in particular)
@@russdean9414 I'll have to look for that. Would love to see Dweezil doing his Dad's stuff... ah, just checked, he's appearing Sept 18 at Tennessee Performing Arts Center - James K Polk Theater!
@@hankzipper I might have to check that out! - Also the new Zappa in New York release has some great Zappa leads - including one where it sounds like he's messing with a Whammy Pedal. I'm a huge Zappa nut.
Thanks!
Excellent! Thank you, shared.
We appreciate every single share so much!!
I HOPE YOU GUYS TOOK THIS TO THE CLUB STAGE. "SOUNDS GOOD!"
Thank You! I hope you enjoy some of our other tunes!!
👍👍👍👍
:)
Loved your #SundayShoutOut! That was a regular on the radio. I didn't have that vinyl.
Had the 45 back in the day. We would buy them used as they came out of the jukeboxes, a nickel or a dime. As kids we did not have money, so always looking for the bargain. No stereo, just a record player.
@@stevemurray6543 dad's restaurant had a jukebox we played it all the time.
Used to get so much enjoyment picking a song from a Jukebox.
Groovy :)
On a Sunday Afternoon....
she would of done well singing in the 30's night clubs very sultry
Maybe, I love that era as well....
*Donovan...
Will fix that typo! Thanks!!
