When Gabriel cast orims thunder and dealt damage to brash taunter, his commander would have prevented that damage and brash taunter wouldn't have dealt damage. I happened to be working on a Slogurk deck today, and BOY am I glad I stumbled on this channel! You guys are a lot of fun to watch, and in all honesty I'm SO excited to see more Asian representation in my edh games!
While you may have misplayed that turn with the Dark Depths tapping, you could have replayed the Polluted Delta another time during your turn from Azusa and just lost 1 more life. Not a huge deal.
With Saryth, couldn't you play creatures with tap abilities, hold priority when blockers are declared and then tap them to activate their ability, giving them deathtouch? Then when damage is calculated they kill whatever creature they block. Maybe I am mistaken, but if not that's a cool little combat trick.
