I took Latin, graduated HS in 1974, was good for medical terms. Definitely not ever able to speak it. I love how you made this card, trees are amazing and the little girls are beautifully colored. Using this idea for a winter birthday, is lovely. I always enjoy storytime ❤
Beautiful cards, love the trees. I took 4 years of Spanish and can no longer speak it.
Love the tree technique. I am no artist but I think I can swing this one
I have 3 sisters and mom made our clothes for many years. They were always the same outfit, just different colors.
so i'm maltese and can speak english and italian fluently too. i had french and arabic in school too and once i finished medical school i went and did german on an evening course. so i can speak 3 languages fluently without having stucdied any of them at uni. languages are so fun xx
So impressed! 👏
Here in Australia, we learned Japanese in school. I even took it as an elective, and got great grades, but I know like 3 words now. 😅
How cool!
“Jwa eau” noel… Canadian French 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦
Not all foxes are red, there are white, silver plus other colours. I learnt French at school but can only recognise a few words now. My children learnt Japanese
My sister & I are 4 1/2 yrs apart, I'm older, but we had a lot of outfits alike some the same exact & some different colors, but same print. I didn't like it, she of course wanted to be like me . Great job with the trees, want to try that❤❤
Us younger sisters always want to be like our big sisters 🤣
Love that process. Thank you for your instructions on the trees!! I am so with you, I cannot leave it alone until momma happy❣️
Love the way you show your techniques
In the UK when i went to school it was French and German. I took both but was never any good at them. Then when i was 17, i went to live in Sicily, i spent 5 years there and learnt to speak Italian as very few people i knew spoke English. X
Very cool!
This tree technique looks doable even for us beginners and I just love these little girls-adorable I think the fox has to be red too and looks great. Spanish was an elective in my public school One I wish I had taken advantage of looking back Love how the cards turned out ❤❤❤
Those trees look amazing and would not have believed how simply they were done. Thanks for sharing this technique with us
You make it look so easy
I wanted to take both French and Spanish in high school but it was always full, so never learned it. A regret in my life. That’s funny about your husband! Lovely cards!❤
Thanks for thinking of us beginners. A lot of creators I follow are too advanced but I still love watching them. Stay well and safe. Alabama here.😅😅😅😅😅
You are so welcome!
These trees are AMAZING!! I'll try to recreate per your instructions but...I'm no Kelly Taylor!! Love this!!❤
You don't have to be to make something beautiful 😁
There is hope for your children to learn a foreign language. My husband and I have very little natural ability for languages, but our daughter is now a high school French teacher. Like you, she started studying French in middle school, but she really became fluent when she was a foreign exchange student in France in high school. Your easy trees make the perfect background for so many images. Off to see what images I have that might look good in a winter forest…..
That's so awesome. Good for her!
Love these monochromatic backgrounds!
I must try that chisel ends with this lesson in drawing trees❤
I absolutely love this tree technique. Did you see my Eudora card that I cased from your card?
My mom definitely dressed us alike for awhile. She sewed them herself lol. I recall a red plaid vest and skirt that we wore for Christmas Eve one year.
I will check it out!
I went to public school in Akron, but college prep kids all took Latin. What a waste. In college I studied abroad and lived with a French family after only two semesters of college french. I learned a lot after 3 1/2 months there ! I still remember French in my dreams, but didn't have anyone to talk to while awake. Haha Great tutorial. TFS.
I'm so impressed. I lasted freshman year and that was it for this girl 😂
Fantastic cards, thanks for sharing your techniques with us!
What a cool (hopefully as easy as you made it look) tree technique. I LOVED the coloring for the little girls, that grayish purple is everything! Thanks again for another amazing video.
Such beautiful cards and those trees! Wow! Thanks fr the tips on how to create them! ❤
Kelly! Those trees are genius!!! Thanks for sharing ❤
Bellissime! Complimenti 👍🏻
This was a super helpful video. It is something to have in the bag and be able to grab out. Also so useful for before and after Christmas. Thanxs!!!!!!!!!
Those trees are so clever. They look amazing. As always I love watching your videos. You are an inspiration.
Love these cards!! Very pretty. I took Spanish in high-school, I don't remember it being mandatory or anything. They offered Spanish, German and I think French. My friend Jennifer and I walked to and from school and she took german, and when we got to her street (I lived a few streets over from her so we parted ways at her street), we would talk/say goodbye in our respective languages that we were trying to learn. Lol I wish I would have taken German, as it turns out my heritage comes from there on both sides of my family. Let me tell you, it's so hard to learn a foreign language when you're older. I remember more Spanish from high-school (almost 20 years ago) than the German lessons I've been studying over the past 2 years lol Side note: I work with a girl from Africa, she speaks 6 languages from there, she told us the other day that she also speaks French (which is common over there I guess), English is her 8th language and she's learning a 9th language but I don't know what one. 😳
9 languages! Incredibly impressive 👏
Lovely you are very clever xx ❤
Glad I watched this! Awesome and very useful tutorial 👍👍👍💕💕💕
Wonderful video! The cards are so awesome., I couldn't pick a favorite. Your explanation throughout the process was so helpful, and I feel like I picked up a lot just watching you color. Thanks so much for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
You are so easily brilliant with art! 😊
I absolutely love these cards totally unique thank you ❤
I aced Latin and failed Spanish. 😬😂 Love how these turned out, such a great technique! 😍
Girl I failed them all 🤣
I live in the province of Quebec so i can honestly say that you didn’t butcher that Joyeux Noël so badly! Was surprised to see a french sentiment! I love watching your coloring and love your explanations!
🤣 Thank you, I tried!
Great tutorial on trees! Thank you!
I love this so much! Thanks so much for sharing.
Wow, these are beautiful!
My mother is from Germany and my dad is Sicilian. Not one of us 4 speak any of it. My mom would cringe as we would try to read her the cards we would get from our Aunts or our Oma lol. I took a year of Spanish in high school but don’t remember any of it.
🤣
amazing :)
Her first video/videos on OLOs explain this really well if you want a good explanation 😊
Wow we were not required to take a second language at all. In Alabama second languages are considered electives from middle throughout high school but we’re not required to take one at all. Which could be why our educational systems score so low
Well I was required to take a second language but only needed algebra to graduate sooo...🤣
@@KellyTaylorCards lol 😂 I had to do algebra but never thought I would use it but boy was I wrong. I also “took” Spanish in college but skipped the class most of the time to play cards instead
You are so iinspiring, Kelly! Fabulous tutorial. Thank you!
Love love love....a great job as always.....coloring is awesome....
Thank you so much!
This was great and a wonderful lesson.
Very cool trees!
Very nice , love the tree’s. Thank you for sharing!❤
😊❤🎉
Love the matching outfit thing. My mother sewed, and she was great at it. There are 7 of us, 4boys, 3 girls. I fell in the middle of my four brothers. My mother, for every holiday, made the boy’s outfit match and incorporated the same fabric in mine to match them. When my sisters came along, even though they are five and six years younger than me, we were all dressed in identical dresses. I can honestly say that outside of the school uniform, catholic school, I think my mother made the majority of my clothes.
I think your fox is fine. If you’re looking at some accuracy in your images, the animals have to stay true to their natural appearance. Unless you want a silver fox…
God bless your momma! Thata lot of sewing!
She loved it and eventually made a living as a seamstress…doing customized patterns for difficult to fit shapes.
My mother dressed my sister and I alike a lot of times. We are about 2 years apart. I drove me nuts when people would call me by my sisters name. Now I have that problem with peoples children
QUESTION: why are so many people switching to Olo over copics? I’m just curious. I have so many copics.
I'm not switching per se. I just try to use different markers so people can see the markers they own in use for color combinations etc.
What do I do if I shake can I still do this technique? My shaking is not real bad, but I do shake sometimes.
No worries. First, no tree grows perfectly straight. Second, if you have a shaky line just add a branch to it or make it a knot. They'll look great!
@@KellyTaylorCards thank you Kelly I know you said that in your video that no tree grows perfectly straight but sometimes shaking really bothers me. Sometimes I shake more than others. Thank you for the reassurance.
Uneven, crooked trees and branches will look more realistic. Go for it!
DId you change the name of your channel?
You are a hot mess with your stories. I was in school starting 1956, and no I didn’t have to walk to school 10 miles in the snow! We had busses and believe it or not, in high school most bus drivers were students. Well, my bus driver was my boyfriend and we got married after Pharmacy School, and was married 50 years before he passed away. And speaking of taking a language, we did have to take one. I took Spanish, but it wasn’t spoken Spanish, it was conjugating verbs and parts of speech. My granddaughter right now is taking Sign Language, which is pretty cool. Don’t know how that’ll help her in life, but who knows. Sorry if I’m boring you with my stories.❤❤❤
I'm a hot mess in everything 😂 I enjoy reading your stories!
Your story isn’t boring. I was surprised to hear that the bus drivers were students. Sorry for the loss you had after 50 years. My husband and I celebrated our 37 th anniversary this last summer.
I like to see people’s stories also. My son is a Pharmacist. I bet your husband saw a lot of changes in the profession over the years. Sorry for your loss. Our bus drivers were mostly grouchy old men. One I remember was called Baldy. No wonder he was grouchy. Haha
