Glad to see you're fully recovered. I've been watching Mr Millyard's videos for a while now, and I've finally realised what they remind me of. The calm delivery, the serious intent to inform, the methodical, unfussy camerawork, the absence of jarring background music, and the occasional touches of humour.... These videos are nothing less than really well crafted Open University lectures from decades ago, which older viewers may remember. And I think that's high praise! Many thanks Mr M, and keep up the excellent work 🙏
Yes yes yes.... I couldn't put my finger on it.... The open university professors at 5am. It's the same wonderful calm Ness. If you could bottle that Allen I'd buy it by the hundred weight.
Take care of yourself Allen! There's no one more qualified to tackle this project. This minor setback from the first start is really a testament to how far you've gotten and how much of the original design of this bike needed fixing.
What a lovely surprise...I did see a quick update on Henry's Motorbike Show, but needed to see what is going on....Great to see you well again, Allen....
You have the patience of a saint, with that bike. It looks like it was originally designed & built by Norton’s apprentice’s. I can’t believe it ended up at the NEC, all those years ago 🤦🏻 Glad you’re on the mend with your back. I’ve been there and it’s not nice.
I don't think even apprentices would have come up with anything as awful as that fuel rail seal sandwich. They'd be afraid of a rowlocking from the boss. It takes a real engineer to do something that abysmal.
My first field bike at age 11 was an old Yamaha FS1E it was virtually indestructible, 1 piston ring or stripped plug threads, fixed with kitchen foil it always seem to start and run OK. My second bike was an AJS Stormer! Hardly ever came home with it still running, very often came home having not even got it started!! 47 years later and quite a few bikes, never owned a 2nd British bike! Love Alan's work but he's flogging a dead horse with this thing...LOL
Just watch the motorcycle show on ITV4, you look so gutted after that first run. In no time you will both be back to full capacity and that work record can be smashed. Thanks again for those instructive videos.
It was a tall order trying to get it riding by the last filming date for the motorbike show, we had Elvington runway booked for the following day so was extra sad 😔
I've experienced "that" kind of back pain. Really not just perfect at all. Praying your back continues it's healing until it's just perfect. Thank you very much for sharing your joy and pain on your projects. Always a worthwhile watch.
Look after your back , I've just been diagnosed with osteo arthritis in my neck and spine I'm only 56 I ride a z900rs I can't imagine not riding I've been riding since I was 8 , I might just have to be a warm weather rider now . Look after yourself good to see you back .
Hello Allan, What a shame about a technical problem at the last hurdle, but thank you for allowing us into your workshop while you show us the fix. Hope your back holds up for the future. Allan, thank you for your time to show us your projects, The cooking recipes Me I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas and a healthy new year. Rgds, Peter.
I thought you were taking a long time to produce the next Norton vid. Then I saw the motorbike show and saw the breather issue, and now after watching this I see your back issue. If only there was someone as skilled with backs as you are with bikes. Hope you're feeling better. And thank you for all your fantastic content over the years.
I was wondering what happened since there was an interval since you uploaded your last video and I am so relieved to see you back.I think it is cold in your garage, so please take care and continue with your maintenance. I think everyone watching this series of videos, including myself, is amazed at your high level of skill and meticulous repair work and look forward to seeing this monster machine back in better condition than it probably was when it was built.
Glad you're on the mend. There's always a take-away for me in your videos- this week's is to anneal those copper sealer washers before use. I use them a lot in my work, and they require so much force to seal properly, I'm always afraid of something snapping. This little trick will make part of my job a bit less stressful, thanks for that.
Bike builder's back, i think many guys myself included who have built or rebuilt bikes in a cold garage back in the day when we couldn't afford to pay someone to do it have all had that. Mine continues to this day some 30 years later. Didn't stop me riding bikes and i learned a lot about fettling. Glad you're on the mend Alan, crackin series of videos 👍
Another great episode - so satisfying to see the troubleshooting undertaken in such detail. It's another reminder of how bizarre this prototype is; passing the fuel rail through the bottom of the airbox is absolutely bonkers! How they ever achieved a fuel-tight seal is beyond me. Expertly handled and remedied by Mr M - as ever, but most importantly, sorry to hear about the bad back. I'm guessing years of sports bikes may have played their part on that. Rest easy and make sure you're fit and well before riding the Nemesis in anger!
So sorry to hear you had back problems Alan. Glad to hear you are well on the mend. I'm sure I'm not the only one to say that we missed your missives about The Nemesis, and can't wait to hear more. Kindest regards, Dave (Rolfy) Weaver 🤗
Glad you're feeling better! I sympathize with your back issues and wish you no more problems with it. I finally had to get three vertebrae fused together. Looking forward to the next video.
I also wish you a speedy and full recovery. I appreciate you getting this episode out. With all you do it cannot have been easy. Have a great Christmas and look after yourself. Cheers Keith
Sorry to hear about your back issues. I'm the same at the moment. Great to see an update on the project, it's been fascinating following the progress you've made with it
What a great video. I can't wait to see a new ecb being available and see the bike get tuned properly. I am excited to see it go on a rolling road and see what power it makes.
It’s amazing what you’re doing to work though what was always a deeply flawed design. I do think that blooming thing is jinxed, but thanks for sharing the extraordinary effort with us all.
Sorry to hear your back has been giving you a pain Allen, I thought there may have been some sort of problem, it's been a while since we saw you last, so glad you're up and running again. I'd have to say I was shocked by the amount of crud in the fuel rails.
Good to see you're on the mend. Back problems are one of the worst. I have spinal stenosis and every now and then it locks up with so much pain that I can't even bend over to pull my trousers on in the morning.
Glad your back is better, mate. I had mine go while I was scuba diving, and I had to be man handled back onto the shore by other members of my dive club. Unbelievable pain, so I understand exactly how you felt. Ridiculously obvious advice, but next time your body is giving you a warning, don't ignore it. I learned the hard way.
That's a lot of oil in that airbox..... running a bit rich he says 😊 Ford Mondeo to the rescue, and finally a functional ECU to be fitted 👍 Great to see another Nemesis episode, Allen 🙏🙏🙏
Honestly, I could tell that you weren't your usual self before you offered the explanation at the end. We're all glad you're back and getting back to "normal". 😀
Sorry to hear about your back . I'm watching this in bed with a bolloxed back myself 😊....your patience is stunning . I've actually googled who the patron st on patience is . St Monica. There you go. . That bike would have had me in a straight jacket by now . Your perseverance is commendable. As usual my cap is doffed .
Very happy to have you back Allen! Unfortunately I know your pain. I’m coming up on my two year anniversary of my surgery to get my back squared away. I lost a few things from having it done, but no way in hell would I go back to where I was pain-wise.
I somehow knew that we'd be waiting for the motorbike show to air before another update, after all that is the reason this beast is with you. So sorry to see this week's latest episode but super thankful that we get a closer look at what's going wrong with vid👍👍
Sorry you’ve been unwell it’s all part of getting older and actually working for a living, ask me how I know, but glad your feeling better. Absolutely loving this project and I know you don’t want it to be an AM build but you must make it work properly. All the best👍👍👍
Watched the motorbike show yesterday night. I don’t think I have ever seen someone so demoralised! Good to see you back at it Mr M! I’m sure it will run superlatively once it’s been tweaked!😊😊😊
The best part of Bosch-style injection is the endless supply of electronic and hardware support, parts availability, and probably is one of the easiest to future-proof, inasmuch as automotive electronics can be future-proofed. The bike looks good Allen! Take care of yourself, we're not going anywhere :)
Good to see you well Allen. MBE Systems are still very much in business and in my experience absolutely stand by their products no matter how old. Sure they'd be very helpful in getting the old ECU up and running properly.
Really glad you are feeling better mate.
Take care Al, we can't afford to lose you, you're a national treasure!
Never mind the bike, I'm just glad you're doing better after your mishap.
A nation treasure, he should get a Knighthood.
Sir Allan Millyard has a quality ring about it.
I second that! 🇳🇿
At last, a worthy recipient; ten times the value of likes of "Sir" Jacob Rees Mogg or "Dame" Priti Patel!
But Sir Sadiq is soo much better.

Please Allan, make sure you keep yourself healthy, we need your videos!!!!
Great, GREAT; GREAT - a new Allen Millyard video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a true national treasure. Glad to hear your better. 👍👍
Hi Allen, Thanks for the update of the build and glad you are on the road to recovery regarding your back.👍

Absolutely fascinating. I wish I had half of your skill.
Disfruto mucho con tus vídeos, un saludo desde España.

Nice day for an update
good luck with your back Mr. Millyard, and thanks for letting us watch what you do
That Nemesis has just been a staggeringly huge project. I can’t imagine what a job it has been. I’d take my hat off to you if I wore one.
