I had the privilege of playing with Joe at a place he ran for a brief time in Treasure Beach called South Jammin'.
What a generous-hearted guy to musicians. The other folks of Treasurer Beach may not be as positive in their assessment.

Is this the drummer for the late 60s song "Mr. Fortune" (The Hitch-Hikers)?

These men have a feeling about music that white people will never have its history goes way back in time, a roots in rastafari that is totally in their heart. As a white person who has been to Jamaica many times if you don't feel it then you will never understand it. I am proud to say I was called the brother from another mother.

Because it’s not unusual. Somewhere in Jamaica, there are better drummers playing. Place is full of talent. A Brazilian musician told me that he can’t busk or gig back home because there are tooo many good musicians. He plays accordion and said that it’s very common in Brazil.
