I used to work at Starbucks for two years... when I visited one in Japan OMG MY MIND WAS BLOWN. First of all, ALL THE PASTRIES ARE DIFFERENT. I tried a matcha espresso cake and it gave me life. I asked for SoyMilk and they put a little sticker that said SoyMilk on my Sakura Latte and it made me giggly because I just love stickers and am weird. Plus, their trash system has a bin for liquids, I REPEAT A BIN FOR LIQUIDS, IT'S REVOLUTIONARY. Anyway, yes it's great.
+glenda sabo Most countries haven't banned GMO's. They need GMO's in some places to feed and nourish populations... Decades of research hasn't shown any harmful side affects of GMO's so far. They aren't hormones, antibiotics, chemicals... they are genetically modified, hence the name, to yield more food, grow more, and be more nutritious. You could probably genetically modify something to be harmful, but so far there hasn't been any conclusive evidence to really make any such statements. It's also a disheartening to see that you think America uses GMO's so avidly. Most GMO's are corn, wheat, soy; crops used on large scales to feed large populations, owned by large corporations. There are sooo many local organic farms in the US that supply local grocers. You probably have one near you. Not to mention, "organic" is basically mainstream at this point (probably thanks to wholefoods, which is being beat at It's own game).
+Squiddi So, what does this mean? Well, you shouldn't stress about GMO's because we certainly haven't felt or seen the effects of them yet, and there are so many non-GMO products at your disposal anyways. I choose "organic" because I don't trust the other things that could be in foods, not if they are GMO's, but honestly I don't even care.
I just tried it at the Kichijoji Starbucks I always run into you at! I am obsessed and will drink it until I don't want to see another cherry again haha
+maryssa111 hi!!!! *waves furiously through the screen* I was actually afraid it would be sold out on opening day but we were okay! I guess we'll have to wait and see how long it remains...sneaky Starbucks Japan always selling out randomly!
Omg HI! I think they've upped their game by preparing for the mad rush for new drinks these days! I tried the new 'Classic Tea Frappuccino' too and it was like blended milk tea. Would def recommend if you haven't tried it yet! Thanks for spotting my comment
Feel you, nearest one for me is about.. 170km away. Luckily I've tried Starbucks coffee once and wasn't really impressed, so it's not a big loss 😅 I live in Finland btw.
Emma Bowles yeah its not all that great when compared with other coffee shops but it's got its gimmicks and it's everywhere in North America so that's where I end up going :/
Simon and Martina thank you. I love you guys so much I always find myself rewatching all your older videos when im having a bad day. you never fail to make me smile.
I love their older vids! I'll put them on auto-play when I'm doing boring stuff at work; they always cheer me up! I'm watching a WTF of theirs right now, lol.
PC15AC maybe seems like it could stand for "pie crust (15?) american cherry", but that's just a guess! the drink looks really good though, i would go to starbucks for once if they had these in america :P
US have better stuff at Starbucks than cherry pie. They have s'mores and cotton candy fraps and Japan doesn't. Also I'm pretty sure there is no secret menu in japan.
Simon and Martina You're wrong, so wrong! I simply squealed to see your reply-- you guys are genuinely amazing people who give off awesome vibes. I will follow you guys from the beginning to the end :D thank you for quality content - from me and a million fans.
There was a time when you first moved to Japan that I thought it might not go anywhere but glad to see that it did! I do worry about you guys eating all the raw fish ....when they say don't eat the fish on Pacific waters in America because of the Fuke Nuke situation.
I remember how small the sodas from the fast food stores are in Japan, does Starbucks have smaller containers as well or are they the same size as in western countries? Hugs form Norway :D
Karoline Digre Starbucks in Japan has a small size as well as tall, grande, and venti but I believe that you can't get a small size frappe. From my experience most people in Japan get either a small or a tall and usually never get grande or venti
I'm really enjoying the very playful editing. ^^ It's really cool to see how you guys have grown and how well you can match the editing to the topic. Definitely an inspiration for me! :]
Simon and Martina. Many years ago, I think it was 2012, I was introduced to your videos. I became a fan and it motivated me to move to Korea. In 2014 I did and I lived in Changwon for 2 years. It was an amazing experience and during that time I watched as you two moved to Japan. Japan was a place I'd always loved and wanted to go to since childhood. As of now I've accepted a teaching position in Japan and will be moving there this summer. In the meantime I moved back to Canada and am actually working part time at a Starbucks. I just wanted to let you both know that I've been a long time fan and I love your perseverance and passion for new experiences. I cannot wait to go to Japan and experience Starbucks there as a former Starbucks partner. I'll continue to use your videos as a spring board, motivating me to pursue new experiences!
Passion Flakies (the original ones at least) are apple-raspberry. There's a 3 Fruit flakie as well; no cherries in that either. Either way, a drinkable Passion Flakie sounds dangerously good.
Hey simon and martina, i just wanted totell you how much your videos make me happy. I'm currently sick right now and your videos are the only thing making me laugh. I love that you guys are so quirky and silly and nerdy, to which i identify with so much P. S. That frap looks so good! And because of your videos, japan is seriously on my bucket list of countries to go to
Jennifer Green I don't deny that. Captain Obvious. It was definitely, Canadian in it's annoying dual language box. And I have lot of people from Quebec assume things with an attitude because I don't speak French. They assume I do because of my name. I am pissed that the US does not have an official language because you go to some places in the US and people expect you to speak Spanish. I have nothing against Hispanic people - simple thing is - I would not move to Germany and refuse to learn German would I? Because that would be stupid. Yet there are people who come to the states, live here for thirty years and expect me to cater to them in THEIR native tongue - does that make any sense? French Canadians want their own country.
You guys are the reason I came and am now studying in Japan at the most wonderful university! I honestly would never have considered coming without the input both of you have shared!
Yes Trending!!! I am so bahhhking excited because it makes me so happy knowing y'all's hard work is being recognized and the Nasty family is constantly growing :D
the fact that you mentioned Passion Flakie got me so excited. they are like my favourite packaged pastry. the combo of raspberry filling and creme is amazing. if this is half as good as a passion flakie I'm sold :)

OMG You guys crack me up! I've just recently discovered your videos and they are awesome! I probably laugh a few times or more every video I watch! I love it and THANKS!
I have two questions. 1) Is the cherry part warm? Because I personally love my cherry pies to be freshly baked, that way it is warm and will melt a scoop of ice cream. They're ok cold, but a bajillion times better warm (same with apple pies). I think the warm would go well with the ice cream/milkshake/frappuccino/whatever part in the middle. 2) Is a passion flakey a Canadian thing? Looks good whatever it is.
OMG!!!! :o This looks sooo goooood, i'm drooling while Simon & Martina are enjoying this deliciousness ^-^. Usually when I go to Starbucks I always try different things, but when I don't have much time I just order a Caramel Machiatto or a tea. Belgian Starbucks doesn't have much to offer comparing to other country's Starbucks in my opinion.
Starbucks Japan is so creative and fun! Like, even other global chains in Japan just seem to have more daring and interesting menus than in Western countries. Also I love Martina's cherry inspired headband for this ep. Soon, Japan... soon 😬
Guys, I'm laying here with a bad migraine-like thingy (thanks, sinusitis) ruining my day and you still manage to brighten it! Loved the crust busting! :D
Question for Martina: Do you still get your nails done? I know you used to get the done in Korea, but do you still travel all the way there? Or do you go somewhere else now? If so, please make a video about it!
holding my laugh and tears from laughing ... I'm at the ofice ... watcing this at the end of the day here ... and holding my laugh n tears ...OMG ... that dome bite ...

Kinda sad I left before trying the cherry pie, it sounds amazing.
You're such a weirdo lmao. Yes, food differs around the world...
Yes, Korea was same way but in America they use horrible ingredients and GMOs, which most countries have outlawed. Not a good thing the SB in America.
+glenda sabo Most countries haven't banned GMO's. They need GMO's in some places to feed and nourish populations... Decades of research hasn't shown any harmful side affects of GMO's so far. We're trying out Starbucks Japan's American Cherry Pie Frappuccino, which is made out of pie crust. Hmmm?
Simon and Martina I was just rewatching your old korean vlogs cause I was having a bad day and now this! omg thank you for making me feel better
Simon and Martina lol the struggle is real
Simon and Martina I'm finally back in Japan in time for a weird frappuccino flavor! I can't wait to try this!
Simon and Martina omg that looks so good. I love cherry pie 🍒 does it taste anything like coffee? as I don't like coffee.
Simon and Martina I wish they had stuff like this in the USA it would be perfect for the fourth of July
I just tried it at the Kichijoji Starbucks I always run into you at! I am obsessed and will drink it until I don't want to see another cherry again haha

The closest Starbucks to me is 80km away in a different country...
DarkGlacies dude that sucks 😖
tell me about it
DarkGlacies you still got a decent coffee shop/cafe, right? ..
I have never had a cherry pie, it's not that big in Australia
I've had a few back home. They don't taste like this.
TheRealSala IKR AUSSIE PROBS
So many cherry things that Australia doesn't has. :-( I love cherry things.

Uhh yeah it is, especially NSW in Young. They have so many cherry picking farms and pies for sale around Cherry season (October-November).

OMG HI I WAS JUST WATCHING YOUR OLD VIDEOS AND NOW LOOK AT THIS! YAAAAAAY.
Thank you for watching our older vids!
Simon and Martina thank you. I love you guys so much I always find myself rewatching all your older videos when im having a bad day. you never fail to make me smile.

I appreciate their outfits matching the theme and coordinating with each other!! QUALITY CONTENT UP IN HERE
Martina I love all the cherry accessorising, it is very important to match your outfit to what you're doing that day & you've done it perfectly 🙏🍒
Annika Victoria I always appreciate a fashion compliment from you! 😻
PC15AC maybe seems like it could stand for "pie crust (15?) american cherry", but that's just a guess! the drink looks really good though, i would go to starbucks for once if they had these in america :P
venusloaf might be serving size, 15 grams. roughly a tablespoon full.
US have better stuff at Starbucks than cherry pie. They have s'mores and cotton candy fraps and Japan doesn't. Also I'm pretty sure there is no secret menu in japan.
The girls in the background at the table behind Martina are having a blast!
31 on trending!!!
I'm surprised! I thought people would get bored by now :D

Simon and Martina You're welcome! Video was great as usual btw. :D
After all these years, I still love you two so much
Also, NOTIFICATION SQUAD! What do you usually get when you go to Starbucks?
Simon and Martina too poor to go to starbuckks l
Simon and Martina We Aussie don't have Starbucks. Apparently they failed to launch here with all the coffee chains already well established.
Simon and Martina I'm sooo basic, just plain dark roast ova heer😅
I don't go to Starbucks often because I prefer David'sTea :D Love from Canada
Simon and Martina hot choco, because I am a cool adult 😎
I love how Martina's earrings are cherries this week and donuts last week- so perfectly themed! x
Can you please please please go to ADVENTURE TIME restaurant?! I really wanna see how themed it is. 🙇Love you guys 💜
Hmm. We should go check it out!

Pablo NoHagoGameplays Winter is here!
Love how your earrings are always themed Martina!
Also, really enjoying the podcast. Super interesting topics.
No Starbucks around the corner.... In fact, I'm pretty sure Starbucks doesn't exist in Perth... Or Australia, for that matter.
Joanne Chan Sadly there's none in Perth, but there are a few Starbucks in Aus!
I'm afraid to tell you, there's plenty on the opposite side of Australia mate
There's a lot in Melbourne
poor Perth
Brisbane has plenty... hahah thank god
I love how many videos you guys have had trending lately! Great job!
We don't even have that in America! Congrats on out-Americaing America. We do have a pretty awesome Pokémon GO berry Frappuccino.
MikeIsNerd where :O??
Good ol' South Florida. ^_^
Cherry pie isn't that American lmao. Whenever someone thinks they've "out-America'd" America, it's usually never true..
Please tell me that I'm not the only one who rewatches Simon and Martina on a weekly bases? I feel like I need my doses of them.
What on earth is this passion flakey delicious sounding thing?
It's a pastry that I think is only available in Canada. There's a company called Vachon that makes multiple kinds of snack cake things.
Passion Flakies are one of many pastry snacks from the Canadian company _Vachon_! (sort of like the US _Hostess_ company)
Jennifer Green I have bought Vachon treats in the past at Meijer (American midwest store). Not sure if they still carry them.
Then they must have been imported, because it's a Canadian company that makes these things.
I just love how Martina accesorizes according to whatever food they are trying out!

PC...pie crust. AC American Cherry... My guess there.
You guys are the reason I came and am now studying in Japan at the most wonderful university! I honestly would never have considered coming without the input both of you have shared!
That's amazing! I hope you're having a great time studying. I'm glad we could help inspire you to come :D
Simon and Martina honestly it's amazing, thank you so much!

omgg you guys are like number 30 something trending :) I dont know why but it just makes me so happy
the fact that you mentioned Passion Flakie got me so excited. they are like my favourite packaged pastry. the combo of raspberry filling and creme is amazing. if this is half as good as a passion flakie I'm sold :)
Cuteness level: beyond anything I hoped for my day to start with-- thank you!
Coming home after a long frustrating day at the office and seeing this.
THIS made my day. You two are soooo cute! And I must say, the "comedic situations" you get into....very relatable. XD ...but I also need to avoid Starbucks for an indefinite amount of time. lol
Martina - the cherries bandana still looks brand new after 4 years! Love the earrings - super cute. 🍒
I've had a hard day today. This video made me laugh and brightened my mood. You guys are so silly and wonderful! You are magical human beans! ✨🦄💕
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA I love you guys a lot! Your sense of humour is so refreshing! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
OMG You guys crack me up! I've just recently discovered your videos and they are awesome! I probably laugh a few times or more every video I watch! I love it and THANKS!
It looks so delicious! I think Starbucks America should step up its game. I'd go then. Also, Simon and Martina seem to be having so much fun!
Been binging on old videos. I imagine that elicited this upload. :)
Martina's hair is always so pretty!! love the braid she has in this video
I appreciate that Martina matches her earings with what she eats.
Seeing martina laugh is so kawaii it just made my day !!!
CONGRATULATIONS SIMON AND MARTINA! I notice your videos these days are on the trending page.
+samreen qureshi yeah! I'm really quite surprised lately!
Simon and Martina Don't be! You guys deserve all the recognition.

You are early enough, indeed! Though we do respond to our older videos as well :D

Best food/desert/beverage reviewers out there💯
Guys, I'm laying here with a bad migraine-like thingy (thanks, sinusitis) ruining my day and you still manage to brighten it! Loved the crust busting! :D
Question for Martina:
Do you still get your nails done? I know you used to get the done in Korea, but do you still travel all the way there? Or do you go somewhere else now? If so, please make a video about it!
The struggle is so real, this video is like The Passion of Simon. I laughed so much I couldn't really concentrate on the video 😅
Bye Bye Miss American Pie, when cherry Blossom season's over I'm gonna cry. lol couldn't help it.
holding my laugh and tears from laughing ... I'm at the ofice ... watcing this at the end of the day here ... and holding my laugh n tears ...OMG ... that dome bite ...
