I guess it would be propriate to add what Hatsumi Sensei says: "practice FOCUSED".With other words, practice SINCERELY. Only then your Budo becomes alive he says, and it will lead you to ENLIGHTMENT. Easier said then done ofcourse, but it should start with the thought of what you're really should do this for, the HIGHEST goal.
In Ancient Buddhist and also Taoist understanding Non being is not passive. So formlessness is not the passive adjunct of form. Rather, it has to do with attachment. Not being attached to the form one is free to assume formlessness... So one never abandons the form. Rather, one abandons their attachment to the form... An analogy may suffice. I love my mother dearly as only a child can... when she is older and needs me to be an adult to help her, do I run to her breast to show the undying form a child's love has for his mother? or do I lose the attachment to her as a child, to act on her behalf as an adult?
Outstanding...!!!
Thank you 🙏
Keep on moving... :)
