Poor JOvi. Weaning is a long slow process in macaques. I am sure that Joyce is nursing her at nigh,t as she is now 9 months old and getting to be a big healthy, strong girl.

It’s like a breeding farm, moms briefly removed from babies to start early weaning, to prepare moms for another baby, and the mons have no say so. When moms get irritated and act out, some of us complain. Shame on us!

11:30 is exactly why humans should never kidnap these babies. We can never do for these monkeys what Joyce is doing to Jovi at that moment. This is my favorite part of these videos. Just to watch them snuggle without the tit. This is so important to their development.

この動画に無いだけで、しっかりジョイスのmilkは飲んでるし。VO達からも餌を貰って食べてる。困ったことは年配の猿より先に食べ噛みつかれると言う事を長い間ジョイスと一緒に居たのに教えて貰っていなかったことだ。
