Thank you for taking the time to reply last PM! I'm your sub #158! Had to say just ystrdy, thus why I found your channel: a friend's neighbor's garage was open, I spied a vintage Honda 1/2 buried, turns out it's a 1970 XL250 & YES he's willing to sell it! Hasn't been registered in 10-yrs, has only 1k miles on it! Soon as I get it, I will send you pics! Let's organize a 70's Honda transalp adventure!!

Greetings from this side of the Atlantic! I must confess, i love this motorcycle BUT...
    I don't understand how a 350cc only has 20hp!
And the dealerships charge the same price of a 2nd hand Honda Rebel 500 for this Royal Enfield 350 new?
Even the Honda Rebel 300 has more power and is also lighter than this RE 350...
And since it's a Honda with liquid cooled engine, it must have way better fuel economy.
I agree that's a great beginner bike for it's power! But it's too expensive for a beginner because with that same amount of money one can buy a way better, more powerful, more economic, motorcycle.
I think Royal Enfield started thinking of themselves as the "Aston Martin" of british mortorcycles or like at least like a "British Honda", and thus such high price for such weak bike.
Having a RE Meteor/Hunter 350 in one's collection, it means a collector has many options, right?
Is not the same for the common of mortals who only has the option of having one motorcycle, and one must choose well at the 1st purchase.
I started writting my opinion about this bike half-way of the video and you ended up hitting some of my points in the end.
Thank you for the video, mate!😃 Have a great week!😉

Geez, anybody who'd buy a Meteor to "race their buddies" is too stupid to even be on a bike. I bought my Meteor 6mo ago, downsizing big-time from a Victory Kingpin I owned for 15yrs, and I love this little scooter. Easy as hell to just hop on and have fun on the backroads.

    • @TwoWheeledHepkat

If two guys are riding their motorcycles, they will no doubt race each other. It’s doesn’t matter if they're on a Honda Grom or a Kawasaki H2. It’s in our nature to want to race no matter what we’re riding. Guys are stupid, but we have fun at being stupid.

2 bikes for the price of a Sportster. Kinda a no brainer. Agree about black color. Either chrome or black not mixed. Cruiser is this motorcycles niche. Plus 85 to 90 miles per gallon. Keep up the good videos. 👍

@@TwoWheeledHepkat meteor 650 is targetted towards Europe and America, in India, riding is less of a pleasure activity and more of a commutation need, want to go from A to B, 100 to 150 cc bikes are the 1st choice, highways have a limit of 80 to 100 kmph which is attainable by even these bikes, let alone the enfields 350 which can do more than 120 if stretched, the 650 is not a big seller here, only popular among biking enthusiast, 650 will hit all over the world in no time guaranteed

I've put 1600 miles on mine, replace the air cover with a dna cover and filter, top speed is the same but defiantly more grunt, slight increase in induction noise, just looking to change the exhaust for something a bit louder...the reason enfields handle is because the design of the frames is by a uk company which enfield bought a few years ago called Harris brothers, they were building cantilever framed endurance race bikes back in the 80s, usually big kawasaki and suzuki engines which handled better than the manufacurers( I had a Harris magnum 2 with a kawasaki z1r engine back in my youth ).The rev limiter cuts in at 74 mph though I've read the ecu on the Brazilian model gives a higher top speed.

The main problem with these Chinese motorcycles are, well, they’re Chinese. Poor quality, like anything else they produce, will leave you broke down and with no dealerships here in the US to get parts and fix them you’ll be stuck with a big paper weight. These bikes are cheap for a reason, because their engines are built with inferior parts. I’m not saying they’re ugly bikes, I’m saying they’re cheaply built bikes.

@@TwoWheeledHepkat indeed, moreover qj motor bike are the worst when it comes to manufacturing quality and tightly built engines, the wear inside is much more than any other bikes, while RE engines are the best when it comes to quality, even better than Ducati and kawasaki, they have the least wear and run smooth for long, meteor 650 just launched and it can give head on competition to harley 1200s and triumphs (not necessarily in power and torque but in built quality and price)
