    Nice to see your bike is sorted now, the radiators are so vulnerable. Considering you use some R&G parts on your bike I am sure they see you as a good ambassador for their products. Hopefully the weather will improve so you can enjoy more riding. All the best.👍

    Congrats on having a sponsor/being a brand ambassador!
    Luckily you found the cause and it's sorted now. I also run without a radiator guard as of now. Thinking of getting one at some point, well before I am allowed to take the bike out again would be more ideal.

      @ I am trying to find out which tail tidy I can buy for my triumph thruxton from r&g
      But email exchanges haven’t helped.

    Thing is when you ride the same bike all the time it’s easy to get used to deteriorating suspension and tired bearings etc. Then you get it sorted (usually after an MOT fail 😡) and the bike feels reborn.

    R&G product’s are great. I have bought lots of things from them for various bikes they are always great.

      They're average. My rearsets have been on for a few months and already issues. Not to mention the paint is already coming off the pegs.

      @@loftyintentions1985 I have not had any problems with the radiator guard, rear foot peg delete and bar ends weights for my z400, sorry you have had issues.

      @ozzyprogdomino8815 my radiator guard and bar ends are fine too. My engine case protectors weren't great quality and what I said about my rearsets. I think guards and block offs won't have any issues.

    The radiator failed because it wasn't fitted with due diligence and should have been replaced at no cost to you. 😮

      It depends if you ever want to go back.
      I would own my mistake, it looks obvious after the fact but we are all capable of an oversight.
      The coolant residue over the motor should be cleaned off so the smell is immediately obvious.

    • @TipToeBikers
      @TipToeBikers  9 дней назад +1

      I don't think it was a case of not being fitted properly- the old stock radiator had the exact same damage.

    • @Scottyvt4
      @Scottyvt4 8 дней назад

      I've fitted parts myself that have been damaged and then replaced them, then had to replace them again. It's just one of those things and put it down to experience.... And move on. Her mechanic seems very capable and honest imvho

    I hope you're corrosion protecting the bike. Salt loves to eat bikes. Nom, nom.
