Great video, bud, and some nice finds! I like river hunting and field hunting, but not much plowing in our area any more - and I find a higher percentage of whole points in the river. But, you gotta hunt where you find them! Keep those eyes on the ground, my friend.
Twice, once in a combine track with both halves and also in a field 49 yards apart same day and found front and end of a celt after 2 years of looking!
Must not be any rocks out in OHIO, my fields are full of rocks. All types of rocks. They stick outside sore thumbs when there is not that much rock there. Congrats on your finds. Points are like needles in a haystack in my part of my state.
The only rocks in the fields I hunt are either flint or firerock! And of course artifacts! It's awesome! 🔥 . It's been hard hunting for me this year! But I still seem to find something every now and then! 👌 I thank you for coming along and best if luck out there 🔥
Good job Chief! The sad fact is that river is hunted to death and the finds we made 20-30 years ago aren't happening today. I know at least a dozen different hunters in your area and those are just the ones I know. Those fields and creeks are where it's at👍
Right they're closing in on me! Maybe that's why I haven't found as much this year. I'll have to change my tactics! 👌. I don't care that people hunt them, but when they're up all night Google mapping landmarks and Facebook stalking me to find out where I'm at, that's when it gets a little messed up lol. 😂. But that won't stop me from lookin! 👌
@@TheChiefSmokem I still hunt some.on the river, just not nearly as much as I used to. There's better finds to be made with less effort in other spots. I agree the internet stalking is ridiculous and a major turn-off, not to mention a major douche move to the ppl doing it.
Shaft scraper. Some say the most cherished artifact in OHIO. Any artifact is cherished by me. I like those hafted scrapers or thumb scrapers, how ever you see it. They are a everyday tool used by ancient man most likely. I dig bring able to find artifacts that old. It's amazing in my opinion
Nobody says that 😂 there's plenty of more rare and amazing pieces. I've got some crazy stuff over the years. Although not in Ohio, I'm in the PNW. Stone pipes, trade pipes, trade bracelets, pendents, stone beads (lots of glass trade beads also but they are pretty common) , celts, even jade celts, tons more rare stuff than a potential shaft scraper lol
I found a broken base and 2 years later found the tip. It does happen lol My dad found a broken stone pipe and the next year found the broken piece near the end of the same log. So YES you can indeed.
Been hunting the fields for over 45 years I put several together... It is important to remember where it came from because it happens more than you think you will find The Other piece unless you got a lot of people that hunt that site
I have field walked for the last 43 years.Love doing it going to start digging and walking the cricks.Like you guys do hard to find Plowed fields up here in Ohio. Love your Videos, videos and your dog, he is so cool.Keep on Searching
none of the fields near me have plowed since the 90s but i still manage to find stuff every now and then. I would've loved to look for points in the early 1900s when there were still thousands of artifacts laying everywhere
It sure was! I about stepped on em! 👌. That spot is calling my name so I'll be back soon! 💥. I thank you for watching and best of luck to you out there! 🔥
Great job and video Patrick …aka “Chief Smokem”!!! In 1969 on my first arrowhead hunt I found part of an arrowhead and some one else in the group found the other piece of it. We decided to throw rocks at a soda can to determine who would keep both parts. I won. I recently gave it to my boss who is Native American and he was thrilled. I had it for 50 plus years and now it’s time for someone else to be its caretaker. Thanks for the video… your enthusiasm is inspiring!!! The Old Army Scout…
That's an awesome memory to have! And how cool for you to pass it along! 👌. Maybe one day I'll match up a piece! 💥. I thank you for watching and commenting! 🔥
i love that feeling of excitement when you find an artifact and ive never found two broken pieces that fit together but me and a friend both found a half a point about hundred yards apart that fit together and made one hole point
Hey that counts! Pretty cool! 🔥. When I find an artifact I try to whip my phone out as fast as I can before the excitement goes away 🤙, but sometimes it's good to just soak in the moment 🔥. I thank you for coming along! 🏹
Thanks bro! Arrowheads have been scarce this year, but I'm trying! 💥. PNP works hard, and he has been killing it! 👌. Best of luck out there man, and thanks for watching 🏹
This year has been hard lookin, but that's how the game goes sometimes! 🤙. And thanks bro! I always appreciate you watching and commenting! 💥. I get so many comments but I always try to respond to the arrowhead fam! 🔥
@@TheChiefSmokem Heck yeah brother 😎👊 !!!! I enjoy other things like you, but nothing gets much attention on my channel, other than the pointy rock shows .. 🤘🪶🍀

Heck yeah Patrick!!!! I always said you need to find some fields to walk. Glad you're out having fun brother. The lil red stinger was cool seeing it sparkle. Many blessings my friend & Puff Puff.
