It’s been a while since I’ve been on your channel but im back. Glad to see people and shoppers back out on Oxford Street. This is a positive move towards the economy. I sure miss London.
I don't care much for "my" country (although of course I don't hate it). But my city, London and all its wonderful people, I love it and miss it dearly. Thanks for the video.
I recently came across your channel, and I’ve become a bit obsessed! I’m from California but planning to study in London this fall, so I love that these videos are allowing me to familiarize myself with the city in advance! Such beautiful videos!
Such relieve to see retail business is alive again at last, eventhough some of them are still closed or no longer in operation, including the good old HMV music store 😔
Miss HMV opposite M&S in Oxford St, was disappointed when they closed that one and not the dire one along the road (personal preference, certain others loved that one more). Miss Virgin Megastore (not as much) as well as Tower / Borders / Books Etc (Charing Cross Rd) ... they won't be back any time soon
@@larrycj4382 Definitely but Books etc have gone, Waterstones are still around. Oxford St has no book stores which is odd, obviously Foyles around the corner in Charing Cross Rd and even the second hand shops seem to be a little thinner on the ground now. Sigh. It be great if we had a huge secondhand store like the Strand onOxford St, don't think we have anything like that here
Great to see, love seeing these wonderful videos. Can't wait to get back to London myself, missed the place. Love seeing the throng in my home town and the shops busy again ... certain they will try and wheel out another variant to reverse it all again

Thanks watched Walker. Am going to the shops on Saturday. Hope you enjoy going shopping too. And it is a lovely day too for a walk. Hope you get some new trainers you said you needed 😁
I couldn't wait to get to Oxford street! It was great to shop again. Nothing beats a good browse, and I went to as many shops as possible that Monday! Sadly, it was awful to see Top shop, Dorothy Perkins and others shut/closed down. I enjoyed this video very much, it was very well done.

Life has been back.... WOW wonderful! And sunshine days because it's Spring Season... I live here in Indonesia, Bandung City. SO, I don't understand why during sunny days - Spring Season, the temperature is only 9 C and many people still wear jackets / sweaters. It should be Hot.... In Bandung, the temperature usually 27 C....
Too bad that you showed nothing but people’s backs and none of the store windows. The title was about open shops but none were shown. Just walking down a sidewalk is boring

Everything seems to be back to normal or so it seems, or it just an initial burst when the floodgates open. Time will tell.
What kind of trees are blooming on Oxford St? American here.
I must say, I haven't missed shops much at all during lockdown; I will not be rushing back to my nearest city any time soon.

What shop has everyone been to with the yellow bags? Never seen so many!
Selfridges
@@alicewestbury4817 and there is even a whole show about it in four seasons called Mr. Selfridge
