Renault is expanding its SUV range with a model with great ambitions: the New Renault Austral. Another model with which Renault expands and strengthens its presence in the compact segment. This positions the New Austral in the most important segment of the global automobile market.
The New Austral is part of the Renault brand's "Cars for Life" philosophy. After the Arkana and the new Megane E-Tech electric, it marks the next milestone with which Renault is strengthening its presence in the C segment.
With its “Nouvelle Vague”, Renault is setting new standards in terms of technology, clean energies and services.
The New Renault Austral fits perfectly into the «Renaulution» concept. Its name evokes the vastness of the South, the promise of endless possibilities that characterizes the brand's DNA. A friendly, welcoming and modern brand that gives customers a better sense of life.
The exterior design of the New Austral not only shows characteristics of the SUV category. It also comes across as athletic, sensual and even technological in equal measure. With the New Austral, however, an exclusive version of the Esprit Alpine is also available for the first time in Renault's history. The name says it all: With the new Austral, Esprit Alpine stands for a sportier look with design features that express its dynamism.
The elegant, high-tech interior of the New Austral follows the tradition of comfort in the family models with which Renault has often written history.
The crowning glory of the spacious and inviting interior is the OpenR screen, which displays both the instrument panel and the navigation and multimedia systems, but also integrates Google services and applications. The two large 12-inch screens and the 9.3-inch head-up display together result in a monitor and presentation area of almost 1,000 cm2, which enables an intuitive, comprehensive and connected driving experience.
In terms of safety and driving assistance, the New Austral combines the latest technologies, with 32 driving aids (ADAS), the well-known MULTI-SENSE driving modes and the latest all-wheel steering from Renault, the 4CONTROL Advanced. All the useful, proactive and intelligent functions serve comfort, driving pleasure and of course safety.
The New Austral is the first Renault model to be based on the new third-generation CMF-CD platform developed by Allianz. It comes with the latest, more powerful and more efficient version of the E-Tech full hybrid drive. A 12 V mild hybrid petrol engine is also available.
These two stages of electrification cover the different needs of customers, from private individuals to use in vehicle fleets.
The New Austral is produced in the state-of-the-art factory in Palencia (Spain), where the strictest quality controls take place at every stage of production. Nothing is left to chance, from the selection of the materials to the functional tests and assembly to the painting of the vehicles. But quality and durability are also part of the concept on which the New Austral was built. Experts from Renault and customer panels assessed around a thousand criteria during the development work in order to optimize the new model in all areas.
Renault is offering the Austral in four configurations and two drive variants at launch. The French manufacturer relies entirely on hybridization. In the Austral Mild Hybrid 160 Automatic, a starter generator and a 12-volt lithium-ion battery support the 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine when starting and accelerating. Top motorization is the new full hybrid E-Tech Full Hybrid 200.
The Austral technostarts at CHF 37,600 with the Mild Hybrid 160 Automatic engine or from CHF 41,100 as the E-Tech Full Hybrid 200 and has details such as the MULTI-SENSE system for personalizing the driving experience and ambience, LED Adaptive Vision Headlights and high-beam assistant, the keyless entry and start system Keycard Handsfree and the openR link with 12-inch (30.5 cm) multimedia display and integrated navigation.
For the first time, Renault is also offering two sporty Esprit Alpine variants in the Austral. Its dynamic design draws on the sporty DNA of the Alpine sports car brand. External characteristics include the frame of the side windows as well as the roof rails and exterior mirror housings in black. There are also 20-inch aluminum rims, Alpine badges on the fenders and a separate insert in the front apron.

Renault is one of the only brands to have a full electric car in the Market when there was nobody doing that. Zoe. Thr Megane is one more full electric car and is quite popular. You are welcome :)
