About Titan Chaser:
Car. Foggy night. Mystical landscapes. And if you want to work - titans. Titan Chaser is a surrealist driving experience, where your work is to scout giant creatures and use the light to drive them off without fighting or ending them.
Every night you leave the motel and drive through empty fields, looking for something. Your job is to scout wandering giants and drive them away from the sleeping town using light.
It's a meditative experience where you don't need to manage fuel, car maintenance, health, or damage. Just find where to drive and how to use your tools effectively. Or just forget about your work and drive through foggy landscapes to calm down after a hard day.
In Titan Chaser you can:
-Walk and interact with the environment and your car
-Drive your car in a fairly large open world
-Listen to the music of krapka;KOMA in your car
-Relax and observe mystical landscapes
-Scout Titans
-Do your job and make titans go away using lights and environment
-Discover the story and personality of the main protagonist through her commentaries about her surroundings

Wyverns are dragons with two legs, typically. Also the naming of the car “Christine” is a reference to the Stephen King novel of the same name, in which a haunted car goes on a rampage.
Something I always find funny (not in a "haha" way though) is people stating that wyverns aren't dragons because they have four limbs and not six, while also saying the Eastern magical noodles without any wings to begin with are. Even though Eastern ryus, longs and other stuff are different entities from really different cultures, have different meanings and were only nammed dragons basically because it was the closest word for them in Western languages. Therefore, by following this logic of "wyverns aren't dragons", the Eastern ones shouldn't be considered dragons either, *also arguing over the biology of fictionnal creatures without any coherent mythos is dumb...*

The Greek "Drakon" is the earliest usage of the etymology and it referred to several species of large or giant, fictitious reptiles including the Hydra and a Giant sea snake. Wyverns are a TYPE of Drakon, but not all Drakons are Wyverns, since Wyvern is the specific name of a subspecies. The earliest depictions of "European" dragons appeared in the 13th century. They were often titled things such as; "Hero defeats winged serpent", but some artists decided to be fancy and use the ancient Greek word. Drakon. It kinda stuck from then on.
They were later made larger and the fire breathing was added due to a myth from another part of the world.

It's a shame that this game's incredible premise, sound design, atmosphere, mood, and general aesthetic are bogged down by those unnatural animations without a bit of weight. Everything looked and sounded so good, it's a real pity that the animations don't have more weight or character. This game would be truly exceptional if only they took a few notes out of Shadow of the Colossus' playbook and made those titans look more like enormous creatures than lifeless holograms.

@@conall9415 Consider what would happen if some wild-eyed scared person shows up and yells about giants and dragons roaming around some small town somewhere in the boonies. How much credence would it get? Who'd even listen at all? Maybe a few blurry tabloid pictures wouyld result. Townsfolk would joke about it, at most, or just say it was nonsense. The character here is a local, too - grew up with all this stuff around and didn't even notice anything was odd.
Never underestimate people's willingness to disbelieve extraordinary things.

The titans can exist and still scare people. We know tigers exist and people would still be scared if one got let loose into a city.
The main character says "The Wyvern will fly home now and no one will be scared of her in the morning." so it's more likely he's some kind of animal control for the titans, a quality of life kind of thing rather than a conspiratorial thing.

I like how this game has some very strong Shadow of the Colossus vibes, but is more laid-back and less confrontational.
Even though SoTC had amazing AI and Animations, this is still a great game, that takes me back to playing that game.

2:07 A plane that size, flying that low, would almost certainly deafen or damage your hearing and is one of the reasons they're never supposed to unless they're landing or it's an emergency like loosing hull pressure.

You're basically a Storm Chaser, but it's with Titans, everybody knows they exist, so there are jobs to watch them and make sure they don't cause trouble.

The amount of interactions with the car and ambiance has so much potential, the dev has potential. Although this is 2+ years ago so he shoud've improved.
I hope people support the early-access so that one day this can be a truly magnificent game. The idea is great and the base concept is there, but it needs so much more.

I especially love the ability to roll the window up/down and being able to open to door while the car is moving. Definitely adds to the atmosphere!

8:05 i know this is probably stupid but they should have some lore behind it like of how the Wyvern correlates with the environment. maybe there are power outages because the creatures feed off of electricity and in doing so cause large foggy mist or thunderstorms. if you wanted to catch the wyvern you would have to find some way to have a massive amount of energy in one place. the same can go with the other titans and how they affect the land, water or sky causing weird phenomenons to appear and with each unique ability you can find ways to catch and research each magical beast.
also because of the mist it would make sense on why not many people would see the wyvern. and the others titan could also have that same ability to cause foggy mist

Oh, imagine this with some multiplayer. Interacting with the environment.
Also, gonna take a guess and assume because of the heavy fog, that allows the monsters to move without much attention. Coming back to this comment, I think it makes sense the fog is allowing the monsters to move about. Was that a wyvern flying overhead or just the airplanes flying by. That looks like a titan in the distance or is it a windmill.
I will forever memorialise the moment of IGP pulling a me by opening the door while driving.

Would be a awesome input to put multiplayer and each player either has their own challenge with a seperate car or can play together with different equipment to each character. Maybe variety of vehicle choice to prepare squad size and or organize with equipment
