A great place for cheap test garments/material is Salvation Army/ARC/Goodwill - you can get t-shirts and polos for cheap, they also have bed sheets which can be cut down to whatever size you need. And finally, your own drawers and closet, i havent thrown out sweatshirts, dress shirts or tshirts in a long time. I throw them in a plastic bin and use them for tests.
