  • Boris Johnson has received Sue Gray's report into the lockdown-breaking Downing Street parties and will be making a statement on the matter to the House of Commons on Monday afternoon.
    In recent weeks, many have speculated that the findings could spell the end of Mr Johnson's premiership, but the prime minister could be saved by a Metropolitan Police investigation which has forced the report to be heavily redacted.
    His statement will be followed by questions from MPs.

    The sooner this is brushed under the carpet, the better, as far as Johnson is concerned. Every utterance of denial, insincere apology and rebuttal are clear indicators of narcissism. The truth simply irrelevant. Such a character should not be allowed to continue to be in control. For, control, by means fair or foul, is paramount above all else to those without a conscience.

      He and his party are a total embarrassment to the country. He's a clown and laughed at daily in virtually every country in the world. How he continues to bluster his way out of this farce and still has any support shows how morally bankrupt and weak this country has become. Look at the Tory backbenches behind him - there you see some of the worst results of our Private (Public lol) school system - a group which if they'd ever had to face real competition and not get endless handouts and jobs from their exclusive club members would be unemployable. • @flowerchickenhairsparkle6779
      @flowerchickenhairsparkle6779 2 года назад +1

      The rules of being a prime minister means that you can’t just be sacked. Your own colleagues can push you out if 54 of them express no confidence in you, that will force a vote. Nobody wants to wait for all 54 letters of no confidence, that would take forever, that’s why they’re trying to get him to resign. If he steps down he’ll be gone much quicker. He can choose not to resign just as anyone in any job could, but it’s his colleagues’ choice to trickle out his orbit of support and to vote against him when the vote of no confidence is eventually forced. So it’s not one rule for them and another for everyone else as far as resignations are concerned. Because in no other job would colleagues be able to push you out, on no other job could you face so many relentless calls to resign and not have to do it, and in no other job could you do this sort of thing and stay working. So it is fair.

      Now Bohnson has a problem: he needs face-masks for all the NHS workers that work for the government and he can't find any. Along comes the CEO and says "hey Bohnson remember that time we were in Eton together and I got my dad to renovate your house for £4,000,000? You owe me for that, mind signing this no-bid contract for low-quality face-masks for only £5billion?" Bohnson of course says "of course old friend, anything for you. As long as you rennovate my apartment in the Square Mile."
      Now FaceMask Co. has a vested interest in making sure the Conservatives are still in power and they can collect on all their favours. Next election it just so happens that board members of FaceMask Co. donate large sums of money to the Conservative Party's campaign.
      Other companies will have their own interests, lets say a billionaire owns the widely-distributed newspaper: The National. The billionaire also owns an oil company that drills in the North Sea. But look out: there are these young hooligans who say stuff like "climate change is a problem" and organise a peaceful protest.
      It just so happens that the front-page of The National is all about these "RIOTERS DISTURBING NATIONAL ORDER", about how they "undermine British values and hurt my feelings", and how we must "execute the bastards!"
      Of course last year our billionaire friend made a handsome donation to the Conservative party and The National always has good things to say about the Tories. The climate protesters are summarily shot with rubber bullets, tear-gassed and are arrested and held without trial.
      There is no organised Illuminati. There doesn't need to be.

    Why is anyone still arguing over this, the facts are known (and have been for some time), there are many more pressing issues to deal with. Boris should have resigned weeks/months ago, and noone in their right mind should be even debating who did what or when anymore (there's no debate left to have). The public don't want him, the house wants him to go, jog on already Boris, do the country a favour and fuck off already. What a shameful display of behaviour and disregard for the people of the UK (as if that's news to anyone). How anyone could in good conscious possibly vote in a party that keeps up this charade and will not enforce it's will to remove him from power is beyond words, it's the worst kind of joke and i thought i'd seen the worst of our policital system already, are we trying to one-up the US?
