Renewed for 40 yrs. American Flyers much easier. Pay once, good for life. I like to support the AOPA. A good foundation. But,money is tight and my AOPA membership money will just have to be enough. I have to watch out for #1.
I’m finishing up the AOPA Efirc right now. It’s always been a good experience for me. I always learn many new things and they have lots of references to various topics that you can click onto. The only thing I wished they had was a downloadable Pdf file of the program so I could refer back to it repeatedly during the next few years. I tend to forget and like notes to help me remember long term not just for the renewal. Good Luck!
Todd, let us know your opinion on the AOPA course. I was thinking the King Schools one when I have to do as I thought their Instrument course was excellent based on my written score for double-I written. Thanks as always and Merry Christmas! I really enjoyed our interview. Best Brother!
I get the King Schools program at my work for free, but just wanted to try the AOPA this year to see what all it entails. I will post an update on it when I dive into it.
@@jasonblair7673 it was! After having multiple DPEs availability diminish through the holiday season, I was pushed into a FIRC. I was thoroughly impressed by the information that I received through the course. As I sat listening through each day, taking notes through each section, I felt as if this would have been a good addition to the ground prior to the flight portion. I thoroughly enjoy doing my CFI renewal with a fellow peer in the actual airplane. I am happy this year that I was able to accomplish my renewal with the help of the AOPA flight instructor refresher course. It was definitely more than what I expected, and I am completely satisfied with what I achieved out of it. Oh, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you talk about the industry issues as well. Great job!
I am not looking for easy - there is no benefit in it for me, besides just a CFI renewal. I do not fly Wings fights with students enough to use that as a renewal method. Doing the checkride is part of personalized yearly professional development program.
Sorry to hear about the weather Todd! Fingers crossed for next booking!

@@ToddShellnuttCPC Very glad to hear that! Let's talk more...maybe recruit some input into it from you!
Can you make a video for CFII endorsements and such?
Sure I can! Be looking for that before the year ends.
Why do it by checkride? The online FIRCs are so easy. Or my preference - Students using Wings program credits.....

I really respect flight instructors but it's not for me. Too bunch BS and red tape to deal with. Just awful
It ain't for everyone.
