I tried Spear / Daggers. and that is definitely the PVP build. The best PVE however, is 100% Longbow / Spear. Its Distance damage from bow + gap closers / AOE from spear is insane. Synergy for those two weapons on a PVE perspective is amazing. specially having heals on bow as well as Blitz allowing you to get one of your spear skills back right away. Bow also having really good ability based passives that just allow for more overall sustain against mobs stronger than you. Spear passives also compliment the bow really well.
As far as PvP, Now I'm using bow/spear and it's a bit hard to survive in GvG or mass pvp. Want to try spear dagger for arena and 1x1 pvp. What do u think?
While Da Vinci's Courage is active: Cataclysm -> Gale Rush -> Ascending Cleave -> Guillotine Blade Your jaw will drop upon seeing Guillotine's speed to cast. Edit: You can also Precision Dash x2 into Ascending Slash before GB like always, but I legitimately love the attack speed buff from Gale Rush combined with Cataclysm's Block/Dodge skill denial effect.
I was curious about the synergy between Spear/Dagger as dagger lends itself to evasion stats while spear seems to be more endurance based... i could be wrong, still trying stuff out myself but I am going either SNS/Spear or GS/Spear. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Bro, how do you deal with mana issue? when doing dungeon runs, in boss area part, mana is always my problem. You cant always use milk unless you're not combat.
@@slashgeegee It’s extremely tough right now, it has major mana issues. Best thing you can do is use dagger block so it gives you mana + mana regen pot. Also don’t use spears on boss unless you have full mana, it drains a lot.

It's extremely fun, you gotta try it. I wanted to initially do bow/spear, but the only way that would potentially work is changing over to endurance. Decided not to, on top of the fact that I'd be losing dagger which is prob my fav :(
yea but see, even in your pvp footage, almost all of your kills are with javelins. which is ranged. now imagine what you would be capable to do if you actually had a proper `range` build. you would have done it way better already without any condition. you wouldnt have to `charge` ember stacks so that you can actually use the skill. so it is exactly you said `it works only under perfect conditions` and also requires specific setup meanwhile you need non of that as a staff and/or bow dps. spear is trash F tier in large scale pvp, B tier in small scale pvp if you have proper melee evasion set. But then, all other classes already do proper job in small scale with melee evasion set so it is not even exclusive to spear. you literally have 0 reason to go spear in small scale instead of a GS. GS can do the job way better, stunlock and 100-0 anyone in the game(and thanks to runes, now they can get insanely high hit rates so even melee evasion doesnt cut it any more) i do admit spear is VERY strong in pve, but for pvp i dont think that wpn is even useful
I agree! That's kind of what I said in the video lol. I don't think spear is trash F tier, but I do think it's very lackluster compared to Bow/Greatsword/Staff. Regardless, playing it feels rewarding, not sure exactly how to explain it.
@@Rythmn it feels rewarding cuz deep inside, when you play with it long enough, you know spear is trash for pvp and you aint getting kills right and left like how you would get with staff or bow. so when you get one, you have the special feeling lol. imagine, you somehow find a way to charge embers so you are `allowed` to use your javeline, then you may get couple kills sure. meanwhile a bow does that over and over and over with flash waves and whatnot already anyway safely from a long distance. the very first day i switched to spear as 4.1k spear/dagger and used books to max lvl the entire skill set. 4 days later i switched back to staff cuz i dont enjoy being useless in large scale pvp

What are u doing with mana in PvE? I also use Bow/Spear and love it buuut my mana is getting down too fast with bosses or open dungeons.

Spear dagger or gs dagger which has better aoe and single damage
I'd say spear/dagger has better AOE.
Spear/GS has better single-target dmg + mana sustain.
What do you think about xbow with spear? I wanna try it but not sure if it's worth it
I think xbow/spear can have crazy AOE damage, but I think you might run into major mana issues at the moment.

Yup that's one of the biggest drawbacks for me right now too, mana drains waaaaaay too fast and we have no passive/regen.
