I visited this place recently. I swear it was like standing in a temple. A sense of deep spirituality swept over me as I looked out to the horizon and inhaled the vapor rising from the clash of two oceans. Definitely recommend a visit to this enchanting place.
When I was backpacking with mates from England. I loved riding my dirt bike (Yamaha WR450), on the dunes, up the beach, in the forest, to the local pub etc. etc. that felt spiritual to me. The local Maori supplied some good vegetation that we liked to burn and inhale those vapours too.
I love finding similarities between other Polynesian cultures. I’m Hawaiian and in Hawaii we call the place where spirits leap into the next realm a Leina. If you don’t know, Polynesian languages are quite different, but you can always find similarities between the pronunciations and meanings somewhere. So excited for my trip to Aotearoa 💖
***Video for my Book - ASHMORE - True Story*** Hi MustDoNewZealand, You have made such an awesome video, I have added it to my watchlist so my readers can watch it as they read. I found this true story inside a doctor's old diary hidden in the back of a museum. It was so incredible, I had to write a book about it so I could share it with the world. The sailing ship left Great Britain in 1882 for New Zealand and the doctor mentioned Cape Reinga in his diary. Within the ebook are hyperlinks to videos, soundtracks, the music they played and the songs they sang, newspaper clippings and all things nautical. It is also in the companion guide which has been created for those who read the print version. Thank you for making this fantastic video. I know my readers are going to love watching it as they read. I hope you get a lot of views as people from around the world experience life on board the 219-foot tall ship Ashmore, and what Aoteoroa/New Zealand looked like when they first spotted it after 100 days at sea. Let me know if you'd like to read it. I'll email you a copy for free to say thanks and well done!

Damn I wanna go to New Zealand... To bad I already live here.
This is my favorite part of NZ. Loved the far North and am glad I made it all the way to Cape Reinga.
