I was 4 years old when MTV launched. The music films and culture of the 80s are unsurpassed. Saturday morning cartoons and walking to my local comic book seller to get the latest issue of Uncanny X-men while my Walkman player plays Prince are among my favorite memories.

After 20,000 years, best decade ever: 1980's
I was there. I was one of the fortunate ones!
    Amen!

You almost got everything - What about Raiders of the Lost Ark, Top Gun, and Wall Street 😊 it is sad and scary to me that here in the 2020’s, we keep proving the best IP’s are all from the 80’s and 90’s. What happened to originality and creativity? 😅

Saturday cartoons and sweet cereal, when they sold vanilla Cookie Jarvis. Every music genre was great, we were clueless about the behind scenes.

In Denmark we had Sky Channel with the DJ Cat show and on Super Channel there was Fun Factory.. Saturdays had hours and hours of cartoons. He-man, M.A.S.K, G.I Joe, Inspector Gadget, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scooby-Doo etc..

He-Man wasn't Saturday Morning. That show was on After School.. . .
Also, before NES, we had Atari, C64 and Colecovision. I had Coleco and played the crap out of it. Also had C64. Imagine my delight, when i discovered that the colecovision controllers were compatible and worked to play C64 games.

You missed something big in the 80s that was pro wrestling . Who would watch wwf superstars of wrestling at 11 am every Saturday morning or watch wrestling every Saturday night at 6:05 on tbs , the days of hulkamnia and the epic steel cage match between Bruno sammartino against larry zybsko at showdown at Shea in 1980 I miss those days. 😢
