GM should be sued into oblivion for allowing these death traps to leave the drawing board. When it starts raining so hard you need to use the high speed setting on your wipers is when they will usually stop working when you need them the most. I wonder how many lives have been lost thanks to this super weak link. My son has a 2016 Equinox he bought used about three years ago, he has had to replace the wiper assembly twice, and who knows how many times any previous owners may have had to do the same. On the other hand, I have a daily driver that is 46 years old, still has the OG wiper motor that works like new. Sad to think we managed to manufacture and use dependable wiper units for 60 years in our cars only to manufacture and use life threatening faulty units today. Who has GM been hiring for the past 20 years? DEI engineers? Trans gender designers?
Just replaced the linkage for the second time 5 days ago. The wiper motors are decent, the linkage assemblies are TRASH. CEO: Let's cut cost, make an inferior part, charge more, and benefit the share holders.
Never buying a GM ever again. Absolute shit suv. Between the amount of oil this thing burns, to the amount of times I’ve had the windshield wiper assembly off.
