I grew up shopping at savers for my clothes with my mom and let me tell you, I always had a lot of nice clothes because of it. every year for back to school my mom would find me great items and I had a whole wardrobe.

I’m a minimalist and shop by the one in, one out method. I was watching your video while going through my closet. I went shopping before a trip to Mexico, and now I’m putting those purchases in my closet, while pulling old stuff out to take to consignment, donation, etc. You had some good finds. I like thrifting.

I started thrifting in 8th grade as I got into more alternative styles and that was in 2015 so regular stores were offering just those unicorn and emoji shirts.
I can't explain the joy I felt every time I found someone's entire alternative closet in my size in the thrift. Yes it was usually like heavy goth or 2009-2013 emo but I didn't care.😂

98% of my clothes and shoes are from Savers! The clothes are great quality, and I clean up the shoes that were barely worn and make them look brand new!😊

I LOVE thrifting. I initially started in middle school because LIFE but I remember getting hand-me-downs and looking in magazines for inspiration to look up-to-date. Now this was in the 90's, 2000's before this wonderful RUclips emerged. Anyway, I would see a similar item in a fashion magazine and imitate the look in my own way with the help of Hype Hair magazine and others showing exactly how to do the styles to bump up the look I had come up with.....Although I had nothing, I was able to hook some things up like I had something. I even had a teacher, when I got in high school, send message for me to come to her room to ask me to be in some fashion shows for her and wear whatever I want. And what was so funny was that all these other girls could afford to go get there hair done every week and I would hear them talk about going to salons and getting nails done, you know, pass by them coming out if salons in town but later on found out that some of them thought I was a spoiled brat when we got to talking 😂😂😂😂😂 not even close. I could have died laughing. If they only know how much I put in to learning how to thrift clothes, do my own hair and nails and trying to do little odd jobs cleaning houses, babysitting, whatever to afford to do that. Fast forward. I can shop retail now but the bulk is thrifting still. I find things no one else has and higher quality/ better brands than I would be able to find for the price at the store. My husband, even though he use to kinda turn his nose up to it (thrifting), compliments my thrifted items all day. Shoot! he has been known to do a thrift or 4 himself.

Yes honey, I’m a thrifter and there are treasures, me will be as you until the thrift stores fall down. Rich folk are the biggest thrifters ever, why not go and get those treasures for a large fraction of the cost. I love them❤👍🏾😊, nobody can make me feel bad for going to the thrift store and yes I look fly too!❤
