GUYANA, FALKLANDS CAN FORGE DEEPER WORKING RELATIONS

Guyana continues to support and recognize the Falklands as a British overseas territory, long confronting similar threats Venezuela now pose to Guyana. Member of the Falklands Legislative Assembly, Teslyn Barkman is visiting Guyana this week. During an interview with the News Room, she said the support she has received is overwhelming but also took time to recognize the ongoing transformation of the country she visited 11 years ago. Barkman said she hopes that beyond the support in the multinational sphere, Guyana and the Falkland’s can forge a deeper working relationship particularly in the area of agriculture and development of natural resources.
