Nice fun ride and the guys didn't push too hard or override their personal limits, the way it should be done. We have to remember that a mistake on our part could also cost someone else their life, so always ride safe and with common sense, fellow riders. The SV 1000 never broke a sweat !!!!!
Nice ride ..... I get the feeling you could have passed his arse anytime you liked, his cornering position on the road was shockin , i hope you let him know this when you stopped .... thats what a real friend would do .

I notice that you keep a wider line on entry to a corner than your mate on the GSXR. He seems to cut in quite early, which means that you have better visibility around the corner and can react to unforeseen incidents (the bike crash). I have a mate who is an ex-racer (ex Barry Sheen TZ750) who tends to lack a defensive road sense. He tends to cut in quickly on blind corners(stay wide and look 1st) on the road. There taking in to account that there may be obstacles such as horses and tractors around the corner. Cheers John
Right after you pass the cop at around 1:45 there is a black mark going off the road.. You take a double look down the mountain and it looks to me there is a bike down there?
Lovely road to ride, if only your mate on the gixxer would be more concerned about cornering technique and smooth lines rather than how often I can get my knee down. Maybe then he wouldn't be braking mid corner, having re adjust his lines and in turn be smoother and faster
If I didn't see Ducati in Italy , I saw a lot SV1000! They will be a classic bike , modelled of the Ducati Devilla1200, love mine replaced the electric fuel pump in 10 years.

nice ride wish we had some roads like that here in uk. your friend corners good gets his knee down but his body position might need work? his bum is in the corner but his head is still aligned with the bike.
and he brakes too hard for most turns n doesn't flow with his body position changes and throttle timing. choppy. Good otherwise w getting knee down and wheelies. better than I with those.
Um... no offense... I don't mean to criticise... but I would NEVER follow anyone that closely at those speeds. I don't trust anyone that much. (Including your friend). A ride like that should be... therapeutic. I've ridden at those speeds and found it therapeutic, almost relaxing, but watching this gets me all on edge just because of the close following distance. Maybe I'm like this from too much commuting with idiots.

This road is in Blount county tennessee 318 curves in 11 miles! Love this road literally my back yard rode it all summer

so there was totally a bike off the road in that gully @1:48 lol, I wasnt sure till I went back and saw the skid mark on the road!

Your friend on GSXR seems to over compensate going into the corners he should try to stay in the middle of the road more and go wide all the time.
Skip to 2:49 for some real riding.
2 hobby class riders in the twisties riding 2nd and 3rd gear will always carry the same speed, 170 hp versus 120 hp dont matter
