@@zippythechicken Overall, I think Goodman is the best HVAC brand out there because they are competitively priced, simple, and widely available to non-contractors. The only serious gripe I have about Goodman is how they put the filter-driers inside the condensing unit. That makes replacing the filter-drier such a pain. If it weren't for the filter-drier placement, I probably wouldn't even consider other brands.
All my units are window, but we built them in studs when building the place, so their not window! lol I have a Gold Star over 1000 watt, in the living room, and units in each room. Works for this Up North Bloke! D... LOL
Steve, It wasn't clear in the video if you checked for any leaks. Could it be something as simple as a leaking Schrader valve that would be an easy fix.
Steve, my system needed a little how ya doin. R22, guy went on and on that his license is on the line here. New regulation this year so he can only add 20% of system volume in R22. Said he will only add 14 ounces. Never heard that one before. Hopefully it’s was enough. Also $520 a pound.
That's what me and my buddy I work with are doing going to give one of my nieghbors a quote on a new system and see If he wants to do it it's an r22 system that's leaking ! At the evaporator coil
I had that same Goodman unit. Installed in 1985 and replaced in 2022. 37 years of great service!
This one is old,but not that old November of 2007
@@petersmart1999 first 2 digits is the year. it's from 2011.

started working a few months ago in this field, it's great! steve your videos help out a lot!
NOTICE: New subscribers here! Steve’s on the verge of 200K!
So did we troubleshoot where the leak could be? I would of like to see the process on that.
Hi Steve thank you for the videos and your knowledge

Another Helicopter standing around!
How about some Easy seal.
Steve, you gattah take that petticoat off before you doosh the condensah.
Steve, you didnt even troubleshoot where the leak was...dont be THAT guy.
My favourite season. Condenser needs a douche Mama😂😂 Next level. Good video Steve. Mama talkin yellowjackets. 😂😂
Not a 2-1/2 ton Steve. It's a 3 ton unit. Goodman lists the tonnage at the end of the model number. Same unit I have.
Can’t stop a goodman

sounded like a little hiss when he was taking the service cap off. system appeared to have brass caps with a oring in it. 3:12 you can hear the hiss
@@james6794 I heard too as soon as it was opened 👂
Nothing like a gas and go
Douche and go
Summers Here!!!
I’m no service tech like Steve, just wondering if that 70s bush on the coil is affecting the cooling ?
I like how you do things. Not worth leak checks on old equipment.
Wow that AC is very dirty...
That’s usually what gets me if I don’t clean it and then it’s fine
Good job , steve , you must molly take care
Easy 500/600
Im in CT. Still have R22. How much is it per pound now a days?
Paid like $60 a pound last summer
@drearaujoa6 Thats not bad! Hope R22 is still available.
100.00 here in TN
I just paid $520 a pound in RI yesterday, what a Gem
@JoePJack1 there's a Typo there or you got robbed
A pile of goodman, steve
I’d rather have a goodman than a de-railed trane….

Yeah because R22 has been phased out and what little is left out there is outrageously expensive. Supply and demand, baby!
520$ a pound is SAVAGE!
Howdy Steve and Miss Molly
hard to stop a douched Goodman
Steve I'm an electrician and people always wait until the hottest day of the year to repair their attic exhaust fans. $300 in January, $800 in July.
13 yrs. old manufactured in 2011
I believe Goodman/Amana is first two are the month and the second two are the year

Nice one Steven, thanks!
You don't say It's a Leka Momma very much anymore.
Give her a good d&c (dusting and cleaning).
Hello Steve
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍
You always handle it the right way even when she is a leaker 😊.
Seems like it works fine, just fix the leak.
July, 2011 is the manufacture date.
Goodman is month first then year
November 2007.A clue that is correct, most manufacturers build AC units diring the colder months and heating equipment in the hotter months
Hello Steve!
😂
Get out your foaming coil cleaner and clean it up. The water hose without cleaner won't do shit. Put some Cliplite super seal in it.
Steve, you better wait until the new R32 equipment comes out rather than installing another 410 obsolete system
