Meatballs and Gravy Meatballs: 1 tablespoon oil 1 small bell pepper, diced 1/2 onion, diced 4 garlic cloves, minced 1.5 lbs lean ground beef 1/4 cup panko 2 tablespoons milk + more 1 egg 1/4 cup parsley, chopped 1 tsp each: salt, pepper, beef bouillon granules, onion powder and paprika Directions: 1. Add the oil into a skillet and sautee the bell pepper, onion and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. 2. Into a large bowl, mix the panko and 2 tablespoons of milk, mix well then add the ground beef, egg, parsley, seasoning and a splash of milk. Combine then form into meatballs. You should have about 16 meatballs. 3. Place in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up. Gravy: 1/4 cup oil 1 small onion, diced 2 garlic ribs, diced 1 small green bell pepper, diced 4 garlic cloves, minced 1/4 cup flour 2-3 cups beef broth Seasoning: 1 tsp each salt, pepper, beef bouillon granules, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika. A few dashes Worcestershire sauce Directions: 1. Into a skillet heat the oil on medium heat, sear the meatballs in batches for a few minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate and discard all but 2 tablespoons of the oil. 2. Add the diced onion, celery and bell pepper. Cook until softened about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Add the flour and cook for another minute, be sure to coat the veggies. Slowly add the broth and seasoning. Stir until there are no lumps and return the meatballs back into the skillet. 3. Let this come to a boil, lower the heat and cover. Cook for about 20 minutes. Occasionally spoon the gravy over the meatballs. Serve with rice and enjoy!
Lol, I was literally craving this the other day and asked my mom to make it. Sharing ingredient and recipe ideas similar to this. We also prefer it with rice than mashed potatoes (though we enjoy both, but I was craving it with rice). We also made some macaroni salad to go with it. Yuuummmm definitely hit the spot and satisfied my craving 😊💞💞🥰🙌
