Morgan Freeman. that's why this black guy is!

Morgan Freeman be loving his shrimp
this was one of the best videos ive seen in awhile. the bond between the captain and deckhand was great. man im from Minnesota, i wish i could come down and join yall! nice video! keep them coming out!
Hi Y’ll.. just heard that both Tony and the “ Bad Attitude “ fishing boat this was filmed aboard, have passed, Homages Welcome 🌸
Hard heads are a bitch used to work on a 17ft v bottom on the galveston bay 15 yrs old. Made good money though. That was 1975. Appreciate you guys.
edward wright thank you and I agree about the hard heads!
Grew up in freeport tx daddy was a shrimper I really really miss the good ole days on the TEXAS coastline! Really miss it!!!!
What a crew, these guys work for every pound. People don’t realize the sacrifices these guys make. Thank you for our fresh seafood 👍
Yes Thank Them for sure . They not only have the Weather to worry about , but the Federal Government is letting the Asian Countries sell Farm raised shrimp labeled as USA Shrimp.
RIP Tony. Your missed.
You look like my step dad picking the jumbos. He really liked those four to the dozen jumbos.
RIP Bertman
very different then the way we shrimp in newfoundland, cool to wstch! be safe skipper and crew。
I want to go on a trip it's been my dream to work on a shrimp boat
I find it amazing that there are so many people with nothing better to do than be critical of people making a living , .
What a shame to loose a man like this??? Enjoyed his show every week. GOD BLESS HIS SOLE REST IN PEACE
I'm impressed on how clean you keep your boat! BH, Crystal River, Fl. Nice video!
God bless these guys they're part of the backbone of America!
Man I love this video.i want to go on a shrimp boat.just to see how it done.
I could watch this all day long I watched this show 3 times now.
It's a shame there is not a better method to get by catch ( juvenile croaker ect) back in the water faster
Amazing video.
Just the lifestyle itself is magnetic and mesmerizing.
Days on the water, sleeping on a boat, working around the clock, comradary with the crew, on your own at the mercy of the sea and the only people you can depend on is your crew.
Earth is 70% water, 30% land blows my mind when I think about that.
That's just the kind of boat I love.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
They need a sorting table on the deck, bugger that bending over sorting
they use the cap of the ice box as a table.
Phil Page it’s called a picking table
Fishing a lot of. Factory fishing. I like your fishing
They needed more salt in that tank. Because most of those fish will float if you have enough salt. It is also commonly called a salt barrel.
Il y a beacoups anee ,Jai travaille' sur un bateau de 68 pieds nomme' gross Come Ca . Merci pour le video .Bonjour de Nouvelle Orleans .
You saying you worked a lot of years on a big boat named "like that" respect
Thanks for sharing. It is good to see fisherman sharing the catch. The catch and release is a big bonus too. We make perfect Shrimp Cocktails and more , and prefer to use USA wild caught shrimp.
+chefgiovanni thank you for watching and commenting!
Tony Fontenot
My pleasure ! Will be enjoying more.
Seem like capt Wayne and james some of the best people on the water
More coffee......The life blood of fishing
I would love to be able to go shrimping. My brother was a shrimper for 30 yrs.

You can take a cajun out of the south, but you can't take the south out of the cajun.

When did Morgan freeman start shrimping ?
Why is this surfacing from 8 years ago. ? Let's see some 2022 videos 😁 Cajun country is my home away from home then when I did live there I would say the same thing where I live now lol but I miss it Cajun country has some good people there if your around the right ones lol
more baby fish than shrimp. Should be illegal to scoop up everything. Imagine what damage the huge skid boats do to fish nurseries
I could skipper your boat my dear brother, and work the back deck just as well as you or your deckhands, 25 years in the fishing industry here in Australia, so please don't read a book by its cover mate , no not angry or a Bad Attitude, just a hard working bloke like you are,
Nice to have a boss and co-workers who you can trust to do the right thing at the right time. Don't have to watch them because they have been doing this for years.
with such a fine boat, but no cup holder! WTF!
Ha! You're telling me! Com'n man its almost 2017!

Hi, my name is Forrest Gump. People just call me Forrest. Your shoes look comfortable.
I'm sure capt. Wayne would welcome you aboard.
Wow lots of wasted bi-product, sad. As a commercial fisherman for 30+ years it concerns me to see fisheries straining the oceans as such.
Hey buddy I I shrimped for 42 yrs, the whole gulf , Key West, east Coast, Is want a boat to run
I would love to r offer to go on shrimp boat
....what the fuck was that pulled outta the net at 16:40...look like a pink foot long centipede?...
I really enjoyed this video. Cool bunch of guys
That’s actually my great uncle u could even ask him I’m going out with him this summer
I remeber my uncle in Australia would take me out on his Prawn trawler. He would set the nets I would fill the boil vat with sea water to cook the shrimp, mud crabs, blue crabs. Etc.
Once we pulled the nets and did the sorting and cooked the catch salt on ice. He would make us lunch.
Aussie spicy Prawn baggett. Fresh baggett, butter, shrimp or prawns , spicy cajun sauce lettuce and tomato. Yumm
Damn, is that Morgan Freeman? 😬
Jumbo beer fried shrimp. Yummy!
I would love to come and help and learn. Too bad BC Canada is so far away but ya never know !
Thats my family wayne lirette 😂😂 we need more videos like this in dularg an dulac
Damn this is like the real life Forrest and Bubba story. Surprised they didn't name the boat Bubba Gump.
The life is what made Forest Gump. Shrimping is a way of life. It is harder than you would ever believe. Income is sometimes non existent. Boats of any size are only owned by the wealthy or commercial fishermen. I fished for a living in the Gulf of Mexico for 20+ years. Hardships included increasing regulations, low shrimp prices, bad seasons, hurricanes, and imported fishermen with the best equipment and government loans with loan forgivness and free fuel. Commercial fishing is more knowledge intense than anything I have ever done including teaching, and working as a registered nurse. No one will tell you anything and there aren't any books about what you need to know. Most fishermen have a family heritage of it and acquire knowledge through experience... otherwise, they do not survive.
Some do. Most Shrimpers will give them to you if you drive up to their boats as they are pulling up their nets.
Working a shrimp boat is hard work. Picking is a bitch.
lol
My left ear really enjoyed this video.
me rt
They are also know as Harkers Island Nikes
lol love you guys work ethics together..
If i lived near you, I would be all over that invite. I love working on boats.

Houma la
No sound???
Gosh I'd love this job
It's very back breaking work. I did it and picking is a bitch
bp kinda fucked this up for yall
+Brandon Byrns They sure didn't help, but we've made a good comeback.
With all do respect, my name is Robert, I'm living in Mexico,I'm a native Texan raised in Utah , Nevada and idaho , I'mma farm boy, my daddy ,may he RIP , had a farm, suffered a stroke 13 yrs ago, was told I didn't had a good chance to make, was paralyzed for 4 yrs , ballooned up to 300 plus lbs , after being partially paralyzed for over 4 yrs, I decided to give it all and now, I'm walking miles per day, went from almost 325lbs down to 168lbs , feel great , work out every single day, go to the gym , walk and run and love to workout, but I did fishing for a while and I've been dying to go back !! If anyone knows anyone that has a shrimping boat and could use some help, I'll gladly volunteer to help out for free !! I love to help out cause lots of people helped me out when I was paralyzed , so if anyone knows anyone that could use my help, let me know, I'll relocate to Louisiana asap !! I don't drink or smoke !! Just chew !! 😬
The turtle isn't a sea turtle. He's known locally as a mud turtle. Look closely, the fins (feet)are all wrong. The long "belt like" fish is a silver eel. They have VERY sharp teeth, scales so fine that they look like chrome.... hense, the name.
When the Cpt said my grandfather was a shrimper and my father was a shrimper made me laugh cause the first thing that came to my mind was “ Forest Gump” Thanks for the video and supplying AMERICA 🇺🇸 with some delicious shrimp !!
Great video thanks for uploading enjoy watching it.
Joel Perez Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words my friend !
Man This Make Me Miss Home Good Job Guys!!!
Back in the 80s we where pulling 4 -50's on the big boats no turtle excluders then we where using try nets the size of your net ,,I'm guessing your a bay boat
I'd love to take you up on that offer
Hacksaw the Deckhand,
Lost u at the first 20 jugs and ums
Ok I'm a southern boy and thought I knew the name of everything that swims in these rivers. But Capitan! what the hell was that thing that looked like a centipede with fins???? oooh lord that was ugly.. looked like a alien creature..lol lol
They make more money catching shrimp for food.
What a wasteful way to catch shrimp. Most of the by catch die when they're dumped back on water
Ware ya catching at cuz😂
I can't even hear shit!
Just found this vid... Makin' me Miss La.!!!! Shrimpin' Ain't Easy!
Great Job brothers.... Thanks for the Veteran shout out!
Stay Safe.... Shrimp On!
Who could afford to eat shrimp in America in Taiwan you can get tiger shrimp alot bigger than American shrimp an about six times cheaper .
Those boats are ruining Pamlico Sound and killing all the juvenile finfish
Real T
just ate at a restaurant in pontutula, called roux & brew and their shrimp were the best ive ever had, the were out of lake pontutrain, and were awsome, hats of to the fishermen who make it possible. being from michigan its hard to find fresh wild caught seafood. ill never buy farmraised again.
Earned never given
Those are actually a prawn from southeast asia , that's just a normal size breed in the Philippines northern part of Luzon.
Oh yea good eatin
Bycatch is to high
You need to get your by catch back in the water and not give each one a kiss. Get them back where they can live. Especially the shark
As a shark fisherman, I follow these boats around and cast in their wake. ( careful not to interfere with their work) and catch some monsters. Catch and release of course. Unless I get a large tiger, mako, or hammer head, then I keep.
