Looks like from the top is the way to go. Never used that stuff on my plugs before. good idea. Good to clean up stuff while you're in there. Good tips.
THANK YOU , I JUSY PICKED UP A 2009 G650GS, That's been a ranch bike , lots of sun fade , and rattles instrument cluster , runs strong , appreciate theses videos 😎
Genius! Yes I changed my plugs from the side......... All I can say, is that it was done, with 'great difficulty' and I shall now never do it that way again. Thanks, I will remain subscribed
I remember my dad when he was alive ... i didnt care of this kind of thing before the he was fixing his bike... but now, your content friend saddens me coz I can hear his voice saying "spark plug" hmmmmm.. thanks for this tutorial my friend... hope u can stay connected...appreciate it!
Hi Mike, I enjoyed watching yo work on the bike. Jim watched too. He has changed spark plugs before and agreed while in there may as well clean things up. Thanks for sharing and showing. 💕 NonnaGrace
It looks like one of those jobs that you need to set aside some time for the service stuff. When I owned an SV1000 you had to dismantle have the bike to get to the back cylinder, and even the front one which was facing forward, you had to loosen the radiator to get to it!
ya only way to get to those plugs is from the top. I guess you could try it from the side but man your going to have a hell of a time. just easier to rip it all apart and replace everything while in there. as I am sure you know what I mean.
Probably the best video on youtube about this.>>>I love my GS,but...Bikes should be way more accessible than this..I mean it should be a two minute job to swap out spark plugs...They should ideally be behind a key locked panel....with a little wrench tucked up into the cover somewhere for the task.If you have to do a roadside repair, you don't want to be removing unnecessary components..This is BMW just trying to milk the normal guy for a buck.Hoping their mechanics can fleece you as soon as you need an oil change or whatever..Although tbh,an oil change on this machine is actually ok....I mean you want to top up coolant with my setup? I have to remove my Top box mount, indicator panel ,side panel ,and don't get me started on the radiator cap design....I couldn't budge it,so I burned down the plastic clearance blocks with a soldering iron,Just enough so that it didn't take a huge amount of strength to unlock it..I know it's a two stage unlock, but my cap just wouldnae do it... Anyway..Great video man, thanks for the education,I have the Haynes manual, but this clarifies a lot of points that the manual is lacking in.....Subscribed etc..
Joseph I get what your saying about the radiator cap. I had a heck of a time getting this one off also. Definitely agree they could have designed the thing to make simple tasks easier. Hey thanks for commenting and for the support. I appreciate it.
I’ve seen some you-tube stuff on resetting the ecu every so often I can across them when I was searching , engine crank no start They are there but probably easier to search resetting the ecu ,
Hey! Nice video! I just came across your channel! I like what I see! Keep uploading! You have potential to grow! We small RUclipsrs should stick together! What do you think?

thanks for coming by and watching and for the feedback.
Where are you from that ngk plugs are hard to come by ???? Can get them at the corner gas station here .. lol. You sound like you from Boston..
yep those are super hard to come by, need to be special ordered. Boston it is, good guess.

Will a standard 18mm deep well socket work or do you need a thin wall?
Thanks for the video.
I think I used a regular deep socket. Nothing special

Ace! Thanks
@@grahamharris4941 very grateful. Thank you 🙏
It can be changed from the side with an offset ring spanner. If you use a plug socket with a hex on the outside at the top.
good luck with that. not going to be easy due to space limitation
thats good stuff bro..😅😅😀 God Gbless...
Thank you
Nice bro,God bless!!!
Thank you
Have you ever had issues with the bike stalling at stops?
No, I have heard others saying this has happened to them but never experienced it on this bike.
I’ve seen some you-tube stuff on resetting the ecu every so often
I can across them when I was searching , engine crank no start
They are there but probably easier to search resetting the ecu ,
Again I never experienced that issue but I am aware of it.
great stuff, friend ~~~
Thanks for the visit
