sneaky co-ops! there is yet hope! so is there space for shelves on the opposite wall? if not what will you do when your collection expands by another hundred games??? :)
Tip for the thermos/contigo mugs - brew with a smaller amount of hot water and then top up with cool water so it’s drinking temp to start with, then the mug will keep it at the perfect temp for as long as needed, or until empty. Room looks great!
this was a lot of fun; i love that the camera didn't get too close to the "shrink area" on the right side of the shelves to ensure we can't really tell what hasn't gotten out there yet!
For the tea cups, just goto a pottery class and they will make custom ceramic cups to your liking. Nice games room girls. I did the same and created a games room but with an expandable shipping container in the back yard. This makes all the fun stuff while glamping!
Wow the games room is looking really good, I like that you have gone in your own direction and had shelves built they look really good. loving the look of the table and one thing surprised me and that is Maggie being the taller of you, for some reason I thought Amy would have been.
For the drinks solution, I am a fan of Zojirushi mugs with the lid that flips back. I have been using one every day for the last 10 years. The lid flips back for sipping and stays in place, it can be opened and closed with one hand, and when it's closed the liquid doesn't leak. My mugs have been banged around in my school bag, dropped to the floor, rolled around in the car, etc. I second what someone says about putting the liquid in at the temperature you want to drink it. No doubt there are other similar mugs. I found this one by accident and stayed with the brand.
Nice. We are about to build our games room, starting with a natural 20 gaming table! We moved city a couple of years ago and went from occassional gaming sessions, to playng most weekends as our friends are local now. A few weeks ago my wife suggested we make a dedicated games room and now its happening! For tea, we opted for a mug holder for each person, this sits on a rail on the outside along with a token holder and mini desk. Love your games room, though your collection dwarfs mine, so many! We have about 15 games now, following a serious cull, and we are now super strict about what we buy and avoid doubling up on games that have similar mechanics.
I really like that there is no dedicated "shelf of shame" you just spread them out ;) lovely new setting - enjoy! make sure to start the Root journey with a solid group of 3-4
Love your shelves and game table-I'm so ready to have a game room! I'm sure its so great to have a dedicated space to play, I know the dining table dilemma. Also, I thought your comment was funny, "you're not ready yet". Made me think of myself wanting to play bigger games, where I have to choose wisely grasshopper :)
Thanks for the Table Flippers tip! I am based in Sydney and have always wanted to get a dedicated gaming table. Just need to find space for a dedicated gaming area now.
For the tea, a ceramic travel mug! It's tall, it normally doesn't have a handle and it doesn't keep the tea piping hot! It also has the same feel as a tyoically mug which is part of the tea drinking experience. Absolutely your space!! Great video!
Oh such a great video, love having a look at your gorgeous gaming room ! Indeed it was quite the surprise to see you standing ahaha. Glad you manage to create this great space ! Have a lovely week !
Amazing room!! I love your custom shelving (though I'm a simple Kallax kind of gal. In fact I use the Ikea Kallax glass shelf dividers to store small boxes efficiently in the Kallax cubes. But your shelving is beautiful!). Speaking of simple, I organize games alphabetically. Which works well except when a new game enters the collection... but i don't mind an excuse to handle - and move - my games. 😊
Looks great. My game collection is on a long corner table, with lots on the floor. I don't have any room for more shelves which I use for books I never read lol. I am going to have to start changing something soon, because I have tons of games coming.
My friend Sarah and Nic have a gaming room and I always am in awe looking at all their games. Like Christmas for me. I watch plays of many games and then in awe when I see them on their shelves. Love look of yours!
Great shelves. I'm jealous. We really need to get a better shelving system. We just have some very basic bookshelves and it's really not the best. For organization, I actually decided to arrange my games by mechanism or type/style, so all my deck builders are together, all the worker placements together, all the city/Civ builders together, all the dungeon crawls together, etc.
Hi girls, Beautiful game room. Congratulation. Love the video. In my callax I group my games in types such as party games, family, gateway, next level then mid-heavy games. I also have a Gametopper table with various mats. Love it. Are you going to film some playthrough now that you have a nice setup?
WOW! I am in love with your gaming room! 🥰 The built in floor to ceiling shelves make it look like a modern library! You may have inspired me to yet again reorganize my collection. Loved this video Amy and Maggie! 👏🏻
Omg the intro to this video is amazing. I have been waiting for a tour since I started watching you guys over quarantine:). The shelving and game table look fantastic. Thank you!
Wow what an amazing collection of games and the shelves look so good. I love the way you decided to display the games, it’s very inviting and colourful. That is such a beautiful table, and I would be nervous to play on it for the first time lol. Looks amazing ladies, thank you for the tour, so many games that I need!!!
The new shelves look fantastic! Congrats! The plushies are so cool (I've lost a fortune on those claw machines haha) and I love how you showcase a few of the games with good box presence. NOW MICHELLE AND I WANT TO VISIT!!! :)
Oooh thanks for sharing the table makers. Looking to get one (Melb). Apologies if I missed this but how do the Leds get power? Somehow I can't get my head around plugging in a table :/
My first thought was, wow tall shelves. Then you said you're both short so may be perspective! Thanks for sharing, my daughter is incredibly jealous of the plushy collection!
Love the new room! Everything looks great. So cool seeing so many of my personal favorites up there too! Arnak, Coinbra, In Too Deep, Hidden Leaders, Whistle Mountain, Wonderful World….such great taste!
Oh my gosh! Can't believe you haven't played Root! It is so up your alley, great thinking, wonderful theme! Highly highly recommend. I really think both of you will *love* it!
Wow, what a great setup! I am so jealous. And not just about the shelves -- BUT the space - - - for a gaming table. Spot on about the kitchen table: where do we eat the next meal? Love this video.
That was a wonderful look at the game shelf. The shelf does draw you in - I was looking to see what games I knew/played. Loved seeing all the games. 🥰 I'm new to your channel, but already loving the content. Subbed. 🥰
I just wanted to say the intro part of your video was really, really impressive and professional looking, with a great variety in shots & choice of + syncing with music :)
Fantastic to see your collection (well, most of it!) Love those shelves and the fact that they are adjustable! So handy! When I reorganised my collection it just ended up being a what fits where system. So the giant Anachrony box has to go on the top of the shelf (Kallax) because it doesn't fit anywhere else and then I have one area of my shelf kind of hidden behind my reading chair, so I tend to put the less popular games back there as well as my box of "What's in there again?" full of sealable baggies, non-deluxe components etc. I'd show a pic, but it feels so horribly disorganised these days that I wouldn't want to frighten you away from one day visiting. I'd love to see your collection on BGG so I could scroll through and then make video requests. It's a bit of work at first, but then it's fairly easy to keep up with once you've got it done.
As a person who finally had to lay out money on decent shelves this year to hold the out of control game collection I feel your excitement. Congratulations 😁
Congrats on the new space being done! Looks wonderful! I noticed from the last video about Septima that shelves were the backdrop. Glad the postcards will still be used from time to time as well. And that table is amazing! Enjoy the new space :)
Excellent looking game space. I also use shelves with adjustable height and so I also sort kinda by box size and then I try to keep similar colors together but it doesn't always happen. Have you two made a video where you talk about Meadow? I have my eye on it but would love more of your thoughts on the game.
Hi John! Thank you so much for the kind words - and the support of the channel. We really appreciate it. No plans for Lacerda reviews yet but we are trying to rate our whole collection so we will have to get to them! We just got Weather Machine 😁 are you a fan of them? Which is your favourite?
@@ThinkerThemer I have 5 or 6 of them. My favorites are Vinhos and Lisboa. CO2 is best at solo I think, I would like to play Kanban and On Mars but can't interest my friends or grandkids in either of them. I still enjoy all of them solo. Thanks to you I am enjoying Feast of Odin (solo on my table now). I know it isn't Lacerda but wanted to pass along thanks for your review that caused me to buy it.
We do love Feast and it's still Maggie's favourite solo game! Am intrigued about your love for Vinhos as we haven't played it but have almost purchased it so many times!!
Your whole setup is stunning!! Has to feel incredible to have that completed. And I've got to say in my mind Maggie was always the shorter of you two so that was a surprise. 😂
With the tea, can you put something in the cupholders to make them not as deep so you can still use a mug? So it will sit down a bit to stop bumping and spilling, but still allow for the handle. Hard to tell from the video if that's something that would be possible.
What a gorgeous space! So well organized and I love the variable shelf sizes. Thank you for the tour. I feel like our space needs to look a bit nicer now. The structure is good, but it feels messy.
Heheh well organised for now!!! 😂 we will see how long we can keep it tidy. At least the camera keeps us accountable !!! Honestly it's nice just to have a dedicated shelf... I always love seeing ur shelf and game pics & hope we can make as many happy memories here! 💕
Looks great! I liked that you went for the customised shelving. Being able to size shelves to the boxes looks fantastic. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the lights in the table after you've been using it for a while. I like that your table has a defused light rather than bare leds but I still think that personally I'd never use the light as I'd find it too distracting.
Great video and amazing space! Do you plan to dust often? I’m also looking to buy a gaming table. Do you like the LED strip? I’m wondering if it’ll be more distracting than functional. Interested in your thoughts so I can decide on my table.

Shelves are so much more convenient than piles. People should know. 😂😂😂 Can't wait to hang yaaaaaaayayayyyyyyyy

Great setup! I do see that'Glass Road' is still in shrink. Please get it out and play it, because it is brilliant! 🙂Have fun with the new room!
I also have a large collection but you have a lot of games that I have never heard of. The room looks fantastic.

That's an impressive wall of games 🤩👍nice video. The room and the table are looking great 👍
This looks stunning. Hope you will have lot's of fun hours in the game room/studio.
also, funny that you talk about gaming tables the same day as Foster the Meeple presenting their new table. they both look great.
I did not expect a Pokémon plush from this channel at all! That's almost the best part of the video for me
Your collection is amazing. And I see quite a few that I'd like to have if/when you cull 😉
I just discovered your channel and I'm a huge fan. Love your taste in games. 😁❤️

Really enjoyed this tour!! Amy, I can't wait to see if the delicious mechanics of Eclipse help it eclipse your space game aversion!
such an amazing gaming room!
I like the way you organized it.
where do you store gaming accesories or luxury components and things like that?
Beautiful space!! Beautiful shelves and table 😍 ❤️!! Thanks for the tour!!
Sorted by “vibes”! Love it!
Fantastic collection! Citta-Stato is a hidden gem. :)
Amazing! Gorgeous! How big is the room? Could you show it full 360?
Forgot to add, I love the dramatically edited opening as well!

Love look of yours!
Congrats on the upgrade! Looks amazing. Glad you've a dedicated space.

This looks Beautiful! Thanks for showing us! Where did you acquire Summer Camp from?
Bought the same table, sans lights from Table Flippers, a great investment. They are excellent quality.
WOW! I am in love with your gaming room! 🥰 The built in floor to ceiling shelves make it look like a modern library! You may have inspired me to yet again reorganize my collection. Loved this video Amy and Maggie! 👏🏻
You're standing....I'm shook! Congratulations on the new shelves. Here's to the creation of many future gaming memories!

Oooh thanks for sharing the table makers. Looking to get one (Melb).

Nice to see Cerebria has a high pride of place. Beautiful and highly underrated game.
Gaia Project still in shrink!!!! You need to rectify this. Also, Glass Road is fantastic.
Such a gorgeous setup! I love the choice of shelves! I’d love to see more on your small box game collection too ☺️
Love the new room! Everything looks great. So cool seeing so many of my personal favorites up there too! Arnak, Coinbra, In Too Deep, Hidden Leaders, Whistle Mountain, Wonderful World….such great taste!

That's an awesomely good looking gaming room. Congrats:-)

Contigo travel mug with auto seal for the hot tea/coffees.
Coop alert! Love it 😀 Beautiful game room!
Looking forward to hearing your impressions of The Transcontinental--one of my most anticipated for the year!
I just want to say…I love that you have all the games standing upright, so much more aesthetically pleasing to my eyes haha

One day I’ll have a wall built like that. Looks amazing!
During the tour I saw your Lacerda game section. Any chance you will do a series on them? You're a fun couple.
