Norm, you guys should do this same color and style with a Hummingbird and Dove. I’m a sucker for the double guards on the big bodies, but not on the Hummingbirds or Doves.
So, now instead of worrying about one Gibson pickguard coming unglued and falling off (as they always do), you can now worry about 2 falling off with this model. 🤣
@@edwardyazinski3858 What models? Hummingbirds, J-45s, and Doves are notorious for coming off. Just give them time. Gibson refuses to address this issue. Good luck.
@@edwardyazinski3858 You're probably fine. An insider at Gibson told me that they don't use proper glue that allows for shrinking etc. That's why they tend to work themselves loose. It's mainly with the hummingbird shaped pickguard with the points. Those points begin to lift then it's all over. Happened so often with my Gibsons that I stopped buying their acoustics and only buy Martin now. They know how to glue pickguards on.
