    Beautiful birds.. I think this is a great place for them since it’s so big. But I also think they need more toys, food bowls and trees to entertain themselves. I’d like to know if they don’t get too cold at night or do you cover their cages? 😅

      The grass is looking even better now, much thicker and covers more of the ground that were not covered in this video.

    This is absolutely gorgeous absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much. I would like to have one one day for children and adults. Which bird species do you actually have all together without hurting each other I’m very interested to learn.

      I dont think it's necessary in this case, they can chew the wood they sit on like the wild parrots would.

    Sooooo nice. I am going to have an aviary but confused for its roof. Any advice kindly sir???

    • @chrisbiro1
      @chrisbiro1  8 месяцев назад +4

      I used the heavier roofing tin. My roofs are mostly flat since we don't have snow to worry about much. Even if we did, the way this closure is built it wouldn't hurt it. I keep parts open to the weather and parts covered so the birds have the option to get into or out of the weather as they choose. The same for the sides up near the top of the walls, some areas are open to the wind and others are shielded.

    How is your reintroduction project going in South America? Brazil wasn’t it?

      The released birds in Brazil are all doing fine, and if a few days will have made it a year from their first flights outdoors.

    Are different types of macaw able to live together? Cuz I see scarlet (I think) some severe macaw? And some parrots I don’t know the name of. How do you juggle so many intelligent and demanding birds?

    • @chrisbiro1
      @chrisbiro1  11 месяцев назад

      Yes a variety of parrot species can live together but it does require separating out the trouble makers. It take an attentive management attitude to keep multiple parrots within the same enclosure, no matter if the same species or a variety of species.

    Do all the birds get along and if so why do people say they don't ? I'm confused

    • @chrisbiro1
      @chrisbiro1  8 месяцев назад +1

      There are occasionally birds that start creating different kinds of problems and have to be segregated. Aggression toward another bird or birds, damaging feathers of another birds, problematic territory defensiveness, etc. Thus it is good to have more than one compartment in large aviaries. I am in the process of expanding this aviary to have another compartment this same size and third similar size compartment split into one half and two that are one quarter this size.
