Ive also made a video using this BHi module on the President Grant 2 over on Fred in the Shed. Here is the link to check that out. ruclips.net/video/3kIwaVFKeYw/видео.html
Very well presented Video and just a little comment on your Audio level Fred It's Spot on and probably the best I have listened too in a long time👍👍..A lot of videos on RUclips seem to have Naff audio even when I turn my volume all the way up still struggle to hear what there saying.. anyway credit where credit is due good onya Fred.
Good morning sir. Been following you all through the lockdown. It has inspired me to get back on the airways. Need a recommendation of decent kit. Would initially need a low profile aerial.
Hi. Have a look at these videos. A low profile antenna could be a T2LT on a tele pole which you could put up and down when you want to go on air. ruclips.net/video/QYq2tl2QW7w/видео.html ruclips.net/video/lwbT4ZX6514/видео.html
@@CB-RADIO-UK thanks for this Fred. Might try the Dipole initially on the side of the house. Won't be above the roof line but hopefully might be able to receive something. Bit different to when i had a Sigma 4 on a 6mtr scaffold pole strapped to my roof top chimney back in the 80's. 😁😁😁
Thanks for the video Fred , I’m not impressed enough to want to buy one , it seemed to take the high end freq away, was never that impressed with the Dsp on the 450 either come to that , take care mate look forward to the next one Shane
Hi Shane. Yes they do reduce the high end freq to remove the hiss and crackle but as long as you dont over do it the audio remains the same. The extension speakers are a luxury item for a CB radio. Deffo help with hearing issues though.
I had a question for you, I purchased one of these units also, but when switching between dsp on and on sometimes the unit briefly shuts off and turns back on. I can leave the switch in between the two and it will stay off. Do you also see this behavior?
Hi Fred I have just purchased one of these off EBay at a good price on your recommendation to cut out the background noise. When are you coming back to overstrand I moved from Dunstable put my aerial up here in Norfolk not much on. In Dunstable I had a lot of contacts. Tend to do a lot of USB here.
Hi Mark. Those BHi filter work quite well. No idea when iam going back to Norfolk. Sadly my wife had an accident a couple of years back and hurt her back and hip. The long drive to Norfolk causes her a lot of discomfort so i think we ware looking near to home for holidays.
fredintheshed1 Hi Fred that’s a shame sorry to hear about your wife. If I was still in Dunstable I would be able to contact you. I follow your films on RUclips they are very helpful thank you. Mark 26CT3013
just see you are not in the group any more and have been told why so if you ever come back to face book you are welcome back to my group its a sad day when the cowards get away with the crap going on out there and I for one will miss you take care out there fred

That unit certainly reduces listening fatigue.
This really makes a difference, looks great!
They work really well. Esp the extension speaker.

Cheers Steve. My audio is prob too loud due to my own hearing issues :-) However you can always turn down but only turn up so far.
Good little device Fred. Have one for a long time until I got the 7300.
Yes i saw that on an old video George. Cheers
QRM is interference from another station, QRN is random static (ignition noise, atmospheric static, etc)
Thanks Brian.
Hi Fred, just seen another one of these on Ebay, good review.
Very good demo Fred - I'll be using this on HF mostly, but still have my CRT for mobile :) great demo. Thanks / Alze / M7ALU
Hello Fred, please can you test MFJ-1026 Noice Canceler! I Have S7 Crackle in my CRT SS 6900! Thanx

Good to know I got out to you Fred...see you at 4pm today if you're about along with Jim in Sutton
Hi Steve. I see if i can get on for half hour
@@CB-RADIO-UK good contact Fred...look forward to another soon
Nice one Steve. A LOT of stations on today. Amazing ! Got a lot of it on video so look out for an upload some time in the next few weeks.
Hi. Would this noise cancelling unit be useful for improving reception of HF weather fax signals?
Not really sure. In theory it will help a cleaner signal but does the signal not get turned to digital anyway via software ?
Impressive arent they. Their external speakers are superb but like u say not cheap.
They are pricey Gary. Guess you get what you pay for. Cheers Bud
Just curious, but would hooking up a graphic equaliser perform a similar function for a lot less dosh.
Hi. No ive tried that. You can reduce the hiss but not improve the clarity.
@@CB-RADIO-UK Cheers, saves me a job trying that out. 👍🏻
You should try and get a little compressor/limiter Fred. Save you riding the volume knob. Keep it all the one level for you.
Oh ok George i did not know you could use one CB radio.
@@CB-RADIO-UK should be able to use one with any audio source, though results will vary depending on audio content
like it fred.ive got the same radio and suffer from a lot of background noise ,might give it a go
The BHi gear certainly does work Tom.

Hi. Not that ive noticed. My switches snap on and off.
They are great units Fred👍
Certainly seems to work well
I think it does esp if you keep the DSP low.
hi, does the power mic work straight out of the box on the 6900 ? thanks
Yes but you need to play around with the mic gain settings on the 6900 menu. Too high and it overloads the audio.
@@CB-RADIO-UK cheers thanks m8
Hello and thanks for the video. What speaker are you using? Thanks in advance and 73
