Nice mod did this back in 2014 on my first ever FL1, just so as you mentioned it's much easier to change the air filter, you FL1 if you still have sounds like it has early start of crankshaft pulley delamination.
A year ago it started to get a bit noisy at idle but hasn’t got any worse, I think it’s the pulley but sounds a lot worse on this video than in person.
Hi, I don't know of a dyno near me that can take a 4x4 so I don't have any numbers or graphs. As I said in the video, it doesn't make a huge difference but it does feel a bit more responsive as the smoother air flow allows for the turbo to spin up a bit quicker. Note that it will not create any more power, (the remap did that) but it does change how the power is delivered.
Hi mate can you tell me the length and diameter of the pipe you have used please I’ve watched the video a couple of times but there is no mention of this thank you
I have linked to each product in the description, the size of the longer pipe is 57mm/310mm, the silicon elbow is 57mm and the reducer pipe is 57mm>51mm. I hope this helps.
@@freetimeonline Yes i read it before, but i am not from UK, and i will do not the order from there, because all taxes and shipping will be bigger then product himself (i am from Romania) but i can find same product here, and i find just 300mm long... Thank you for your answer and congrats for the videos, a lot of nice things i learn it from your videos. Hope you will do new content about tips and tricks for Freelander MK1.
How is it after 4 months? Still going strong? Anything you would have done differently? I'm about to do this on mine you see, your video is very helpful!
Also do you know what the difference is on the Facelift version? I see muddymods sell different hoses for them just wondering if the ally pipe needs to be a different length
@@GasManLS7 the pre facelift has a longer pipe from the intercooler to the manifold as they don't have the temp sensor, the manifold is the same as the facelift models so the alloy pipe length should be the same as the point where the manifold conencts to the intercooler pipe is in the same place, I hope that makes sense.
@@GasManLS7 thinking about this, you will need a joiner and step up pipe as the alloy pipe diameter is bigger that the intercooler hose, I show this in the video.
Superb little mod 👍

@@TwoWheelHustle as long as you are aware of the situation, Corteco is the pully to use any others don't seem to last good luck
Brilliant video thank you 👍😊
Great mod 👍 will try this when my turbo is back on (Maulden Wood)
Do you have any dyno spec before and after? That can't do that much of power difference to std spec?

Can I know the size of all pipes you use and how long is the long shiny tube please
Hi. All the details are in the video description.

Hopefully you can help me what are the diameters of the silicones you have used please 👌
It’s all in the description.
C’est du 50 mm

Hello, is ok if i use a 300mm long alloy tube? i do not find 310mm anymore... thank you👍
that should be ok but if you read my comments you will see that I mention about getting a custom length from the supplier.

Still going well, as a test I fitted the std manifold back on and it felt a bit sluggish on acceleration, a slight delay.
