Natasha, that place in the Maldives does look very special, wild, and serene. I like that there is no alcohol served there! Did you eat any seafood? I bet the fruit was super fresh too! Thank you for sharing your vacation with me. I really appreciate it! I have never seen a shark feeding before, lol!!
Indeed a wonderful beach experience dear Natasha! You always have such beautiful nails! I agree with your current statements to stay closer to home now. Especially with current events and the tensions that could still boil over. Stay safe dear Natasha!
Hi Natasha Glad you're having a great time in the Maldives. One of the things we used to really enjoy about all-inclusive trips to Cuba was the 'free' alcohol. Canadians would bring big car style coffee cups and have them half filled with rum and coke while lazing in the shade on a nice beach. I'm not a big drinker but I enjoyed the pina coladas probably a little more than I should - you can't taste the vodka, but you sure can feel it after a few! Still, as long as I could enjoy nice cold drinks I could live without it. Have you tried scuba diving there? In a lot of these places they offer a crash course in the resort pool or from a boat just off the beach. I don't suppose you will earn a scuba ticket, but you will literally swim with the fishes and see far more with scuba than snorkeling, although that can be nice too. My wife and I did the 3 day PADI course and received our scuba tickets on The Great Barrier Reef. The diving was incredible al the way down to 25m. We were told that over 75% of all fish species could be found on the reef. We met a couple of small sharks and a deadly lion fish with poisonous spines. We looked but we didn't touch. I've also gone diving with an octopus in the Cook Islands, near New Zealand. You would love it! Good SPF sunblock is vital. When I was a kid living next to a Sydney beach, after a hot school day I used to head straight for the surf. Immediately I stepped outside, the smell of coconut oil could be overpowering with an onshore breeze. I would toss down a towel and not far away typically would be a middle aged lady with greased skin the colour of milk chocolate and the texture of prunes. Even in later afternoon it was still hot and sticky and goodness knows how long she had been lying there. I would hit the water and body surf the waves - always watching for the rip that could carry me out to the ocean or dump me on the rocks where sharp barnacles awaited to slice me up. After 20-30 mins, I would feel cool and my energy would return and I would go back to sit on the towel. She was still there but she had turned over, presumably to baste the other side. Of course this was decades ago before melanoma was invented. We didn't have shark feedings on the beach, except for the rare unlucky swimmer. The life guards had a big bronze bell they would ring when sharks were sighted and everyone know to get out of the water immediately. Looks like you're heading back home. I hope your time in the Maldives has perked up your spirit and you will feel happier at home again, with your friends. Greetings from Canada.
@@natasha-rostova There really is nothing to fear from scuba Natasha as long as you are properly trained. My wife and I were ok swimmers but hardly Olympians! I think we had to demonstrate that we could swim 500 metres before they let us join the course. We were taught about how to avoid hurting ourselves by diving down deep then ascending too quickly. We were shown how to judge our remaining air time we had left before having to swim back to the surface. We were told to always swim swim in pairs and how to manage the loss of air in one diver's tank by sharing air from the other's tank using the 'Buddy' method. Safety was always paramount. With scuba diving you are swimming almost like a fish. Breathe in and you slowly ascend. Breathe out and you slowly descend. It oddly feels totally natural. Sure beats snorkeling! A gutsy RUclipsr who could manage to get herself from Russia to the Maldives and back would have no trouble scuba diving as long as she is comfortable swimming!
@@natasha-rostova When I taught SCUBA classes, on the first day, after introductions all around, I would say something like"...So you want to be a SCUBA diver? Don't hold your breath...". The students would think I was underestimating their ability, like they could not learn it. Ugly looks on their faces with a little grin on mine. I had their attention and I had told them the number one rule for SCUBA diving, first few minutes of the first class. By the end of the classes students truly understood what I was trying to do. Help them learn another way to have fun safely, which was why they signed up for the class anyway. But do it safely and be ready to help your buddy. SCUBA diving is an activity with many levels of competence. Instructor do not know everything, though some think they do. But a competent instructor well tell you early on to never hold your breath on ascent. The Maldives look breath taking. So do you. I wish I could visit those islands and visit with you. I won't hold my breath though...

Such a beautiful place, reminds me the islands of my country. By the way, cutting with corals are actually quite common, don't feel bad about it, it happens a lot. As for the sarks, I might be wrong but it seems they are "Tawny nurse". They are quite friendly, actually, and you can approach and touch them even when you're diving... within the borders of common sense, obviously. Nice video, thanks for your good wishes and my best wishes for you.

I'm not Rus', but I'd be somewhat miffed to learn I couldn't have a glass of wine with diner. But then there's no denying that the Maldives are beautiful. So very cool that you caught that manta ray on video and that shark feeding! No doubt the sharks know exactly when to arrive for this buffet. Congrats on crab competition! 😂 It's always a pleasure to see your videos, and thank you for introducing me to the Maldives. It's now on my bucket list, which has grown quite large. Hugs, God bless.
Hello Natasha, great video! You look awesome in a bikini, woohoo! Glad you are having fun time. Maldives looks like it's from the American TV show "Gilligan's Island." Did you win anything from the crab race? That's a lot of sharks in one place! Right now it's 95 degrees F in New York. Not very comfortable at all. Your video made me feel much cooler!
