- This is such a fun experience to share! A bunch of our favorite collectors, new vintage fans and online friends from RUclips and Instagram are descending on Mount Dora, Florida's last antique extravaganza of the season! I've been scrambling to find a ton of cool vintage to show, and now it's showtime...
People are flocking to the booth as we open, with big sales coming fast...sterling silver, Kosta Boda glass, fab 50's furniture and glowing Fenton glass are disappearing before our eyes! We scarcely have time to film, so I show and tell about my booth and the highlights before they're gone...flamingoes fly away, Victorian garnets go home with someone else and I just have time to clear off that stack of 70s nesting tables for their new owner.
Some of the new owners are familiar faces, some new collectors and dealers we're just meeting for the first time! We get to visit, share and have fun with our compatriots from @CrazyLampLady , @TheNurseFlipper , @FlyingPigThrifts and @Followthatbugvintage , meet some great Instagram sellers, and bring a lot of joy to newfound collector friends from as far as Alaska and New York who've come to see us.
We get to shop around a little and see great things our neighboring dealers brought, from childhood toys to barware to original art, and marvel at the finds our visitors found in other spaces at the show...designer 1960s enamelware, swung vases, fun prints...you never know what will come our way!
Our hope is that the fun of real world antiquing and collecting comes through in this video...as cool as the things we see here are to collect, the opportunity to share the excitement in the moment is what really inspires us to make these connections! We hope our online viewers can extend their collecting fun to the real world as well.

Great show, I love your booth! George, I learn so much from you!
Very fun!!!🎉❤
I am in awe of your knowledge
Wonderful booth George -thanks for sharing the interactions. Safe Journeys.
What a show. Would love to have been there but finances don't permit me to travel much at the minute. Lots of glass and colored glass. WOW have a great day and safe travels
Your booth looks great 🎉
that was marvelous!
Really fun
You are so organized!
You have such great stuff❤❤
This was a great show. You had wonderful things in your booth. I was excited about the flamingo mirror! We had one when I was a child. We moved when I was 12 years old and I never saw the mirror again. On your show it was the first time I have seen one! It really touched my heart strings so I am going to watch for one when I am shopping antique stores. I haven’t seen one yet but now I am going to keep my eyes open for one!
Thank you! I really enjoy showing how it turns out. I really liked that mirror, my aunt had the same one and I admit I had a moment of nostalgia over it, but my Turner flamingoes are the keeper in my house. If I find another, I'll let you know!
@@TheAntiqueNomad thanks!
Love love love your setup!
Awesome display George!!
That kidney table❤❤❤
Great video, sooo much fun!
I love watching you. You are so knowledgeable, like taking a class.
George is a walking encyclopedia.
♡
A FUN class.
Yep,,I get smarter each time 😂
I wish I could remember facts like this. I usually end up spitting out bits and pieces of misremembered facts 😅
You are quite the knowledgeable gentleman. Wish I could shop but, have too many great things already.
Wow, great variety of jewelry in your collect! The display is great !
I too love to watch you. youare so friendly and inclusive.
You are amazing. Your knowledge is great. How much are the tiny silver and enamel perfume bottles? I collect tiny things. I also love miniature things. I've been collecting for 45 years!
Excited to have joined your level 3 membership!! Great show… 😊

@@TheAntiqueNomad I’m excited to join the group!

You bet!
What a wonderful mix of antiques and collectible you brought to this show. Thank you for sharing.
I've noticed just how large your friend group of fellow resellers has gotten. Glad to see it ! Looks like you moved a lot of merchandise. That means you get to shop for more, Yeah !! :~)
Love these shows videos George. Thank you
Your videos are so informative. I did see something in this one I wonder if you still have it. The Batman and Robin pin that was in a small display with other small pins. I'd be interested.
Love Ken Edward's here in Texas. Do you ever come across any Elsi Boreleus pottery ? Or those Forest Trolls made from all natural materials like pine cones and twigs , think they were made in Canada early 80s ?
I see the trolls in Washington state sometimes, I'll keep an eye out for you! I've never had a piece of Elsi Boreleus pottery, but also see that in the Northwest on occasion
So much to live. So little time.
Yep
Love this high-energy, fun filled video! Thanks, George!
I would love to go to all pf your shows George, you and it seems like everyone else has such beautiful items.
I'd get rid of all of my modern kitchen items and buy a variety of older pieces to replace it ALL.
Unfortunately I'm too sick to travel anymore.
Thanks for the neighborhood tour.
Aloha for now! 🌺🐛♡
I hope you feel better with time, perhaps I'll get to your area and we'll have a chance to meet sometime! I seem to recall you're in Hawaii and I have a friend there I need to visit
George! your booth is so beautiful! such wonderful curating and styling. Do you ever come across lady head vases? I don't see them in California.
Hey George its Matt and Megan thanx for the shout out and shot of our booth, wewill be their next year for sure, think about doing Madison bouckville in upstate ny. We will save you a spot, very nice to meet you
Loved that multicolor groovy lamp hanging in the corner when George entered your booth.
so many cool things, I love that Lisbeth Scott pinback! And congratulations on all your sales!
Great selection at your booth !
Fun video, George
Thank you!
What a fun video, George you have so many nice things. I hope to come to one of your shows someday. I wish I was there to buy. It was fun to see you meeting a seller that’s from my hometown of Albany, New York.😊
As always, fun and informative. You are the best, after all, George. Many thanks!
I liked that you showed everyone booths as your own. It was fun to watch. ❣️
Like that Jobi bowl 🌼
Hi George, loved the video as always. At about 10:14 you have a flower trinket box, 1, is it a yrunket box, 2, do you still have it and #3 how much are you asking for it? Thanks dear. Btw. I plan on being at Springfield all 2 days in May this year. Hugs friend.
Thanks George. I sure like learning from you. Although I don’t know how you retain it all. Keep up the good work!
Thanks George! So much fun watching your videos! I learn so much.
Looking at ALL that merchandise that Megan & Matt brought ( an all the items you bring ). It just amazes me how you ( & the others ) can pack all those things into a trailer ( or whatever ). I know its years of practice, but WOW !! :~)
I love the children sewing machine ❤❤❤
George, wherever you go, you are a class act!
Kat ratted out Jocelyn bought it all except a couple!! LOL. Looks like fun for all!!
George come to California to the Sacramento vintage faire I would love to meet you and shop your booth❤
I've been watching you for a few years now and have learned so much from you. Thank you. You always have the greatest booths! One day I hope to see some in person. Thanks for sharing George :)
George, it sure looked like you brought a lot and sold a lot. What fun. I enjoy listening to you chat with your friends/followers. ✌🏼
I love the JoBi bowl!!
you had great stuff there! it was good seeing you 🎉
I'm always amazed at the amount of knowledge you have!
Hi George! I waited, but you kept scooting around the piece with a greyhound on it! What exactly was that, and did you sell it? I have a greyhound and love greyhound things!
Greyhounds are amazing x
Ohh, my goodness, wild George. You hit a home run again on this video? It was fabulous. I love it when you go around and shop at the other ones. After you just show us your things. It was really fun, thank you again.😊😊😊
I dont think anyone is as knowledgeable as you. Its amazing how much information is stored in your head. You have a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for your videos. They are really enjoyable.
Is this event in Mt. Dora held annually? I have family next door in Tavares. It would be great to visit family and attend this shopping event.
There were so many wonderful things to see.😊
Florida, Kentucky, Seattle. That is a lot of miles to manage spaces!
Love Love Love 🍀
Love what you brought to this show! Awesome vid, George!❤
Wow, so many treasures & so many people! It looks like such a great time! I’m glad you had such a successful show! 😊
George do you have the complete Seattle WF puzzel?? I got it brand new in its envelope but I opened it at the very end with a slit so not that noticeable but I actually lost one piece for years and found it a week ago . if you need for your collection I will send it im. In Washington state
Hi George. I’m not sure if it was your booth in the beginning of the video but there was a veteran’s burial flag laying on the ground. The American flag should never touch or be on the ground.
I love the Tonala parrot ❤
It’s like Christmas twice…first when you find the tressures and then whe you unpack at Home 😎
I sad to see the video end!!
Around the beginning of the video, I noticed a modernist stoneware piece. It was a vessel with three elevated extensions with little bowl like impressions. I wonder what it was used for and who made it.
Please time stamp and I'll try to figure it out for you
Wow George your booth was packed with amazing beautiful things 🎉
Hi Everyone, George 's Friend, Tiffany
Thrifting Vegas , has a new video . Just FYI
Thanks
How fun to see a fellow Alaskan! Great video and your booth is fantastic!
Thanks so much! I mentioned you were up there by the way
Kate is awsome 😄
Hi, George! FYI...there's a big vintage event/indoor yard sale at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala this Friday and Saturday if you're still in Florida.
You have excellent taste George!
I also HAVE to know who did the white pottery divided into three sections with the tan colored Bitossi style embossing! It’s incredible and I’ve been looking for something like that for a very long time.
The Mt. Dora show is popular I did see Joshlyn CLL,Dangy ,Kate. Glad you did great on the first day. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
❤
I noticed you had a Marimekko piece in the oackage, was it a sheet or tablecloth? Did you sell it or is it available?
Good evening, George. I really liked those children's sewing machines. The stingray sculpture really caught my eye, too. Liked that a lot. The individual samovar was super-cool. Being that it is actually a working one makes it even more so. I liked the second Victorian garnet brooch. That couple had a brass mortar and pestle that I really liked. That looked like a really fun show, and it looked like a lot of really nice items, too. Thanks for taking us along!
No wonder your items sell fast at these shows. So many beautiful things . Hard to choose .
George's Fans, let's Share George's video with a friend or two! He is almost to 60K 🎉
I see the Fenton panther dish only went for $20 - ? That makes me a bit sad. I bought one for my mother-in-law back in the 1990s for probably $80 😬 - because she collected carnival glass and I didn’t know any better.
George can you smell the rain long before it arrives ? It’s a Florida thing. This show looked like a great time , so much shopping.
As a native Washingtonian transplanted in to Oregon, I can certainly smell the rain coming! 😊
interesting to read up on this phenomenon - I'm from Michigan but know the distinct smell of rain coming.
Your lovely blue and white parrot would probably like it better if he sat high on a box or shelf. 😊
Is the compote at minute 26:12 not Le Smith Simplicity line? What Viking line is it? I'm not familiar
Hey George! I cannot get over you kept selling your display tables out from under yourself. All in one day. Maybe stacking those up on each other put them in front of the eyes better. Lol...
I knew Kate had gone to FL I wondered if she got to Mt Dora... all the usual suspects arrived on time 😊 great sale. On the big sting ray piece...so GORGEOUS 😍 you said see heres the signature but i didn't catch who it was.
I think signature is SFI. I deliberately bring furniture I can sell to use in display, it's great to do double duty but I was lucky so much other stuff sold too or I'd have had it all over the ground!
❤❤❤❤
Hi George, 🖐 😊 😊
What do you do with girl scout patches
There are collectors, especially pre-1965 era! It's good to put online to sell
Better late than never. 🙃💖
Do you have these items listed online anywhere. There were a couple items that I liked
I would suggest a few extra cheap folding tables, just in case early buyers run off with all the display pieces.
Interested in the sterling enamel mini perfumes. If available, please let me know
Were you in Ohio today? 😅 I swear I saw you or someone who looks like you standing in line at an estate sale.
Hello George, you’re such a gem. I don’t mean to be a Karen but the American flag on the ground bothered me. I know it’s in a plastic case, just not where I want to old Glory. Love your channel and your spirit
The ubiquitous panther.
Same here!
Hi Poodle 💐 hope u are well !
What are you asking for the ladies face? Ceramic? OR plaster? Wall pocket?
I have two of three left, I think they're around $30/each
