Thanks so much for going into details about that topping "DM Buster Blader Snake-Eyes" deck that topped another YCS at 27:30. I was really hoping someone would bring that up and it was great that you were so curious yourself that you reached out to the original pilot of the deck for questions. It's great to know that in actuality his primary plan of playing that deck was to attempt to setup the Buster Blader lock FIRST and if then he would move into the 1 card combo Snake-Eye plays because it would then either be Plan B or his failed Blader Lock would pave the way for Snake-Eyes by having the opponent use up their resources prior to firing off his Snake-Eyes combo lines. It is also great to know that the "Dark Magician Package" was pretty much ONLY there to make Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon and the fact that it only came up 2 out of 13 matches. The reality is that Snake-Eyes and DM really have no real synergy together.
I personally like the Branded package better. I feel like it has more synergy with DM and if the toy box engine purpose is to grab you your cartesia, then Branded is more of a direct line. Add to the fact you are able to dodge interruptions & have other targets in your ED, branded feels like it has the higher ceiling. Especially if you begin to shrink the DM engine for more branded. It just has more range on the spectrum (e.g., on one end pure DM; and Branded on the other end). More room to play and experiment imo. I played against a DM deck running toys with my branded DM and I definitely had more gas than they did (granted they didn’t have Diabellstar). I’d love to see you play against this list with your branded DM.
Have you considered incredible ecceslia? I only mention it because you can special it with tank as a way to force interaction from you opponent during their turn because you can tribute it to force something like ash blossom or say once you go into albaz it can force like imperm. You can also special quem with tank to fuel graveyard with key piece or ways to replenish his hand.

Idea: I noticed you would at times pitch dmg instead of dm when using soul servant. If you are not using the dark magicians would it be better to use a card like palladium oracle mana. You would get the same +1 draw with soul servant but additional protection for your dragoon and it is reusable. I never see anyone use mana I think it would work in most decks.
I just got back to playing dark magician because of the toy cards. I believe that they are so good. I haven’t finished watching the whole stream but I believe you mentioned branded. I think the branded cards are nuts here. Let’s say the hand is branded fusion, souls, toy box which is very nice but sometimes you might just open one of the toy monsters as well which isn’t impossible, you can pitch it with lubellion and get it back it with toy box as if nothing happened.

Idk who you are but I too went through such a period, and I’m begging you to get sunlight, get active by any means possible, truly. Yugioh ironically helped me restore me to my true self (with the nostalgia, charm, and carefree attitude I had as a kid). Wake up tomorrow with the mission to attain the mindset you had when you were a kid, because that’s when we truly knew how to act and react with the world, but with the discipline and drive of a man who has a real mission.

The thing between switching Dmg for Mana is you won't be able to use the dark magicians fusion and you would need to remove it.
Go 2 and 2 on prep n illusion. Definitly wanna see either and seeing both is great.
Dragon knight with eternal soul + toybox engine is super good if you manage to get it on the field.
