Good to see that You have your share of snow Ben. Kupilka makes cool ergo eco tech stuff, love the fire steel they make. That lamb pan looked tasty 👌. Not much for tea but that beer does it 🤠🍺
Cheers mate, I thought about doing a few Swedish fire logs with those rounds, might give it a go tomorrow 👍. You'll be getting some snow up your way over the next day or two I would've thought? Perfect time to be out camping.....if we were allowed 🙁
Your vids have started to be recommended to me after I started looking for a fire pit to take camping. Seriously addictive viewing and glad I found you 👌🏻
Been catching up on the videos lately and appreciate the share! Yep, I've got me one of those percolators, it's acceptable, is it snow peak, nah! Does it work the same, Yah!
Hi Ben, what a cracking way to spend the spend the morning topped off with a brew. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better.... a bottle of 'Dog' to wash down your grub..! 💪🏻😁Great video mate, cheers, Paul 👍🏻
@@Adventure-Outdoors All good here thanks Ben, trying to keep safe. I do enjoy a Broon Ale now and again, even though as a Mackem, I usually keep it quiet 😉😁Stay safe, take care 🙏🏻
@@Adventure-Outdoors Now there's a blast from the past 😁A real throw-back to Vaux days..! You'll get me all misty-eyed about Tudor crisps and Villa pop next... 😁
Great video Ben, the Mrs has warned me of cooking with aluminium because some doctors have linked it with early onset alzheimers disease. Because of that we use stainless steel and cast iron for all our camp cooking and boiling. Just my 2 cents worth mate. Take it as you will. Really enjoy the vids. All the best, cheers
Cheers Thomas! Yeah I'm aware of the health concerns around aluminium, I try not to use it too much myself. I swapped the Trangia Alu kettle for a GSI stainless steel one a while back and tend to do all of my cooking on iron or steel these days. I figured for occasional use I'll go with aluminium for it's weight and low cost and not worry too much, seeing as I'm happy to sink countless beers from aluminium cans.......which, when I think about it, does actually induce memory loss, so maybe there is something in it! 😂👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors 😆😆 I hear you lol. I'll say no more. On another topic, you influenced me to pick up a couple of Hultafors premium axes and I'm delighted with them, fantastic equipment 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors Great video, first I've heard about the health concerns so I took an IQ test to play safe, luckily the results came back negative.
Lovely video, and apologies in advance for being a bore but please consider wearing proper ppe when using a chainsaw. Even an electric one will eat up your leg in a second. Take care
I think you made the right choice not buying the Petromax Perculator. I have one, and unless your making enough coffee for the cast of Blazing Saddles in my opinion it's no good for just a couple of mugs. All the best
Cool vid mate. Why did you put yourself through axe & saw labour when you have a chainsaw 😅 fair play mate I would have went down the least effort route 😂
Nice video again. 1 question, perhaps already mentioned before, but the hook where you attach the perculator. Is it self-made or for sale somewhere? Cheers!
Cheers Rob, the hook is a mini fire anchor grill made here in the UK by TJM metalworks, he makes some great bushcraft equipment, here's the link to the grill 👍 - www.tjmmetalworks.co.uk/shop/The-Original-Mini-Grill-Fire-Anchor-p224518272
Great vid. I got one of those percolators myself. Does the job, and a billy bargain. Why spend a fortune? I've got army surplus aluminium cookware that's over 40 years old and still going strong. Including a 1945 US army waterbottle and cup that still does the job. Way too much kit snobbery in the bushcraft world.
Cheers Chris! Aye the percolator is great, I use it daily and I reckon it will last a fair few years. It's good you're using kit from 1945, there's something special about using vintage kit. All the best 👍

Probably been asked before, but im interested in your woodland that you use. Is it something you just have permission to use, or like a lot of them, cut up in to sections and shared ownership? There's something about the pine forest though, I love them. Thanks for another great video, especially out in the snow (we are yet to get that cold down south). Stay safe and keep making the videos
Hi Mark, the woodland is owned by my family but I do all of the management and maintenance etc. It's part of a much larger wood which is largely dominated by various pine species. It's been great to spend time there during lockdowns, I think I would've gone mad otherwise. Cheers mate!
@@Adventure-Outdoors - That's right handy having the woodlands. I have similar and it so nice to get up there and escape. @@discovering_adventures Cheers mate, give me a shout if you're ever up north and you need a stop over 👍.
