- Friday Night Funkin' is one of the most anticipated Indie Games of all time, and coming off of a successful kickstarter, many have wondered if we're ever going to get the game. Today we talk about the new Erect previews that we got and what it means for the future of the game. Fun fact: On the bandcamp site for the “???” track, if you mess around with the audio a bit, you would notice that it’s actually South playing but with Pico’s vocals! This most likely means that we will be playing as Pico in the next update!!

@@LucDaMan4It says on their kickstarter page that the Newgrounds version will have a couple more updates to give a taste of what the full game will look like as it develops.

I’m honestly proud the game has gotten such a HUGE upgrade. The visuals in this alone are bringing back faith in me for this, this looks fucking FANTASTIC.

@@thegameslayer7574Lots of dramas and controversies. Toxic reception to different mods and their creators, teams of modders falling apart because of in-team drama and toxicity leading to several cancelled mods (still accessible but not finished), and people “doing a Pablo”.

Just sayin', if you're not interested or don't want to bother because of bad past experiences or whatever then it's completely fair and fine, nobody should force you to come back if you're still hesitant and not comfortable with the stuff you went through or overall bad impressions you had

Phantom Arcade said erect mode will have new art in the full game, but not in the update. that was a long time since he said that so maybe things changed.

I used to play one handed when I started and did for a year until mods started getting more and more intense so I learned two handed (DF JK) if I were you I'd learn two handed it makes the game so much more fun and satisfying to play

I was convinced that the full game was never going to happen, but with this, my eyebrow has been raised. Not holding my breath, but it’s better than nothing.
Well, if the devs actually never delivered, we all could've sued them, after all, it was mainly the comunity's money that was put into this game
And, game development can be quite exhausting (specially for an indie project), so I'd say 4 years was a good amount of time to bring something of quality
Heck, they got a music composer from a fighting game called Tekken for some Erect remixes, so, to me that's a pretty clear indication that the devs were taking this seriously since they gathered those 2mil dollars
@@zombielizard9383 I know game development takes a long time, but shouldn't they have hired more people to speed it along? From my understanding, there's like five people working on it while the mod community has whole teams working on them and producing better results in significantly less time. Mario's Madness V2 took over two years to make, and it'll likely remain better than anything the Funkin' team cooks up.

Sure, the modders have a lot of people behind the high-quality mods, and with many hands it takes less than the og game to get done... said mods have often been canceled bc of awful work conditions, leaks, internal discrepancies and other issues
So I guess the devs wanted to play it safe with the original main 4 devs, and the other 11 people of trust they've been hiring
Edit: Also, don't be so pessimistic of what the new stuff will be had in the next update, sure the mods have kept us at a high standard of quality, but I'm also sure that the devs know that, so whatever they had planned will probably have some influence from certain mods so that we all end up satisfied with the new stuff
Not to mention that they clearly stated that this next update called V Slice will only be a fragment of the full thing
@@zombielizard9383 I'll fully admit that some mod teams have issues, but I feel like some bad eggs shouldn't be enough to avoid hiring more help for your game, especially if they're really passionate about it. You just gotta make sure whoever you're hiring as a clean history and is a capable worker.

I'd also love if they hired more talented ppl of confidence (artists, sprite makers, charters, coders, even some story writers so that we get a good story along with a good looking game)

Ever since it came out ive been playing constantly (mostly mods ofc) no matter how many times it "died and fell off" kinda literally crying tears from scraping out of an empty can for ANYTHING for yearsss im beyond excited omfg

FINALLY the original game is getting some difficulty!!!!
I heard a lot of stuff and rumors about FNF, but I always had my hopes high for it. Unlike games like Yandere Simulator, which my hopes crashed down pretty badly (for obvious reasons). I am SO happy I wasn't just setting my hopes up for disappointment again. I assumed people would think I'm crazy or something, but my hopes are still as high as ever!
This reminded me of how much these original songs hit
I have not seen this guy in literal YEARS, and when he pops upagain, it's the tirde and true FNF stuff I found him for.

I always knew this game had a lot of potential. Even from the oldest versions you can tell that the people working on it have a clear vision of what they're doing.

Mods are what have helped this community both flourish and wither. Whitty, Tricky, Indie Cross, Impostor, Sonic.EXE, Hazy River, Ourple Guy, Lullaby, Doki Doki Takeover, D-Sides, Mario’s Madness, all can soon FINALLY take a backseat for the real deal.

Those are some of the most unique songs in the game so I think it’s best if they don’t spoil them. Hopefully there gonna be a few more sprinkled throughout the rest of the game. Maybe it’ll even get its own week.
