Probably the most important thing to impose on a puppy is Socializing. It can never be mentioned enough how much easier it is to have a good relationship with other dogs and people. Sadly, most people that acquire large breed dogs or dogs in general, fall short of doing this because they think they’re dog will be too friendly to strangers and therefore won’t protect them. This is false. The protection is breed into them, simply for the fact that they love YOU!! You don’t need to make a dog a weapon. A small dog can be a handful if not properly trained. There’s nothing more pleasing to see as well behaved children, and what’s equally impressive is a well trained, socialized dog, not to sound demeaning to humans. Remembering back as a kid in the 60s with a German Shepherd, that was chained to a doghouse in the backyard, 24/7 365 days a yr. After reading many books, having numerous dogs and also moving to Europe, I became aware of the fact that this dog was a member of my family, so why should it be worse behaved as my son. Over the years the time and effort invested in making this family member socially acceptable brings many benefits, one of which is that others in public aren’t nervous or scared, and it’s also enjoyable to go to the park and let them meet and play with other dogs. Without socialization your pet must always be on the line, and this builds stress which many times increases the chances of developing a biter, fighter, and uncontrollable dog. You can see the love and stewardship that the Whites show to their family member. Like anything in life, things are easier excepted when you learn why you’re doing them. Have fun learning with your pet and the training NEVER stops. And remember they are Ambassadors for the Dog World and the CC breed, of which many representatives don’t always have the best upbringing, like many of US 2 legged creatures. Getting a dog from a responsible, Professional breeder is also a plus because you know from jump that it’s not about the money. These are extensions of the breeders family/relatives, being entrusted to you to further the love. They could find 100s of people that would like to have their pups, but they picked you. That’s the beauty of the whole thing. The family keeps growing and like a family reunion, although everyone is spread out all over the World, YOU ARE STILL CONNECTED BY LOVE.
