No !!! British heavy bomber command won ww2 by bombing Germany back to the stoneage and that's official as even the Germans post war admitted this is why they lost the war. The Russians were the sideshow and without the air war that destroyed German industry could NEVER have broken through German lines.
This is only partly correct because 85% of German casualties in WW2 were caused on the Eastern Front. While Stalingrad was a catastrophic defeat for Germany in 1942, it was not the decisive battle. This honour goes to the huge tank battle at Kursk that started on 5 July 1943. Luckily, I am here to set the record straight and educate those who think they can educate others but can't.

Agreed. America only lost 407,300 soldiers and 12,100 civilians. Canada only lost 42,000 soldiers and 1,200 civilians. Whereas Russia lost 6,750,000 soldiers and 4,100,000 civilians.

Just wondering if Stalin did not sign a nonaggression treaty with Hitler and supply Germany with vast quantity of war making materials before Hitler turned against Russia, would Germany be so successful in the beginning of the war? What if Hitler delayed Operation Barbarossa until he secured the western front and struck a deal with UK, would everyone including all Russian be speaking German now? Also, if the allied did not execute Operation Torch, Operation Husky, Operation Overlord, would Russia be able to defeat German armies in the East?
