4:00 Mercedes and BMW have that feature and of course tesla has it too on all models. The Mercedes me app has some paid features like car tracking where it tracks your car via satellite in case it gets stolen and forwards the information and coordinates of the car every 5 seconds to the nearest police station but like I said its one of the paid features i think its 200 dollars every year ( 200 for all the Mercedes me app features not only for tracking). I'm not sure about BMW if its free or paid but they have it and you can do it with the car remote itself. BMW key fobs are like a small computers or mobile phones its pretty cool it has a screen and everything although I'm not sure every BMW model has that.

Kia is currently showing an ad in Oz where a guy controls the car with his smartphone to get it out of a parking spot. I imagine it could be used to park it as well.
Yea, there are cars that can drive to you and park themselves. Of course what they fail to tell you is how many times they malfunction. Like "self driving" cars which have caused plenty of accidents and even killed. The Audi ad was perfect. Making the logo out of the keyrings and you don't even notice till the last one.
First clip reminded me of Leepu in tv-series Bangla Bangers and Chop Shop London. That guy from Banglasdesh created some really amazing cars from plain junk.
On 2016 IAA in Frankfurt I saw one Audi A3 or A4 controlled by a cellphone app to park without a passenger, making easier to park without scratching the doors in small parking spaces. They even turn the wheels, turn it on and turn it off, fully controlled from the cellphone. It has a limited speed and both: phone and key distance sensor. On that IAA Audi also feature their autonomous vehicle (not sure if it was an A7 or an A8, also in a cinema theater premiere or similar event), and Mercedes and Volvo showed they were working also on those systems as well, even for big trucks with trailers. So it is possible they already put that technology inside the cars after many years of testing. Japanese brands as Nissan (just remember PiVo's concepts), Honda, Toyota and Mitsubishi on the Tokyo Auto shows also developed some cellphone apps to control the cars (Honda now has a motorcycle that could travel by itself and balance in 2 wheels by itself), in the James Bond's movie Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) is featured, but someone was seated with a seat costume (many high speed maneuvers involved). A little bit later, special effect teams on different Hollywood movies made the long range radio controlled assist possible specially useful for car crashes, check the Discovery Channel Myth Busters episode about it. I remember the Kia 2011 super bowl commercial: ruclips.net/video/wcuAB3JR1Ws/видео.html&ab_channel=KIAUkraine.

3:30 Now that is clever. How much easier would that be in very tight garages where you have to carefully squeeze out of the car, or when putting your car in a closed trailer? As much as I prefer a basic vehicle without any frills, this is cool. Remote control trailer reversing and other silliness could ensue.
lots of car company do that actually, volvo audi etc, you park your car in the tight space, move forward to go out, then make your car drive backward again in the tight place
There are a whole lot of companies who got "remote parking" to some degree Hyundai (and its brands kia + genesis) have remote parking on the key fob. with a push of a button the car moves forward/backwards and stops if it gets to close to something. VW and all it's brands have a functionality where it saves the last 50/100m and then drives into your parking spot once you are near enough and the path is clear. Tesla was already mentioned so i didn't include it. there are probably more companies that do something like that

The latest Range Rover has self parking. In a car park it will find place that is big enough and will park the car with no input from the driver, Also it will self drive out of the spot
Yes, that automatic parking is a thing. My E-class break is a bit older, so I need to be in the car for accelerating for safety reasons. The car in the ad did it all by itself. You need to put in some parameters first, hence the app. Must say it's a bit overrated since it won't do it when it get's tricky and it's then when you want to really use it I guess. Anyway, an E-class needs about 30cm extra on 4.95m in order to park longitudonal. Turns on a dime. Best car I've ever bought.
One of the best car commercials I´ve seen was the Audi one with the T-Rex.. was a commercial for rather early autonomous/ assisted driving edit: Okay, the one with the key rings was great too... If anything, Audi has a great marketing unit :)
The thing about buying cars from elderly people - often, that's a bad choice. Yes, the milage is low and the car looks very good - but it was standing around to much and not properly used. Very low milage here in Germany often means the engines have always been cold - maximizing engine wear. All tolerances ensure perfect fit in warm condition. That's not the case when it's cold. Plus, always cold engine and only low revs leads to coke build-up - in particular on modern direct-injection engines. I prefer moderate, not low milage and sellers that, after warming it up, floored it regularly. Modern engines are not only designed to take that - they need it to stay in good order.
