Kyrie isn't shooting because OKC 's defensive game plan is to get the ball out of his hands. They're doubling him almost every time he touches the ball. Denver is great, but they don't have the defense to play the mavs the same way. Mavs have a shot if Luka/Kyrie can go crazy
If Lively/Gafford play jokic physically and one of and PJ or DJJ hit their 3s I'd say they have a good chance against the nuggets

You're not seeing Luka and Kyrie having great games because OKC is a very good perimeter defensive team and they are going hard at Kyrie since Luka has been slowed with the injury. Do you suppose that Kyrie will fare a llittle better against Jamal Murray one on one or against Joe/SGA or Dort/Wallace etc....?
I think Denver is the heavy favorite but I think it's going to be us finally seeing the Mavs for who they are (minus whatever Luka is missing due to his injury). It will be a glorious open basketball matchup that shows the best of both teams instead of a mud wrestling match between someone scared of losing to a great team.

But when we talk about current key players. and let’s even narrow that down to guys getting about 10 minutes or more in the playoffs. You get about 23 for OKC and 27 for Dallas. Because most of Dallas’s young guys are just place holders the only 1s who currently aren’t key guys who could become key guys are Hardy and OMP. That’s why Dallas isn’t considered a Young Team but OKC is. Because nobody cares about a bunch of guys who aren’t contributing to the team. That goes for Dallas’s Young Guys and OKC’s Old Guys.

If you think the 9ers are so good, then you likely think they are gonna be the 1 seed and be playing the 4 seed or a wildcard team most likely in the divisional round.
If the Bears are such a threat to everyone but the 9ers that you can't wait to watch them get thrashed by the 9ers after they've evidently already won a playoff game then they've likely won their division. At least that can be surmised as most likely.
If they're not good enough to win their division, then what's the point of being excited to beat them in particular.
If they've won their division, they're the 2 or 3 seed because of the NFC South obviously. And the 1 seed 9ers won't be playing the 2 or 3 seed until the NFC Championship game. Assuming they win their first playoff game.

Yeah, I don’t think there’s “something going on with Kyrie.” To his credit, he’s kept this year about ball. Nothing else. He looks locked in defensively, making the right reads on offense, and if you watch the games, I know most of the time it sells like you see him with 9 points, but those usually have come at a time during the game where Dallas didn’t have much going offensively, so Kyrie would get them a couple much needed baskets. Of course, it would be optimal if both Luka and Kyrie were at their apex offensively, but this team is built different than other Mavs teams. Great role players, defense, solid coaching. Maybe nobody is beating Denver, but I think Nick is right here, they are a very dangerous team.

I think PJ Washington will continue playing very well; his thermostat has been reset; this is the new Dallas Mavericks PJ Washington. Ditto for Daniel Gafford. Kyrie is acting as one of the game generals. He will flip the switch to scoring when and if needed. That said, it is too early to say Dallas is going to the conference finals. They have another game to win yet.

Chris has to understand the reason why Kyrie is like that is because he's asked to be like that this series. This is not a guard series. The next series will be a Kyrie Luka series. Because they have such bigger teams it's going to be harder for them to keep up in the switch. Okc see is a terrible matchup for our team. They can switch every player top to bottom on our roster. The difference is we just happen to have the best player in the series. Next series I expect Kyrie and Luca to be better If it's Minnesota they're going to get cut to death by pick and roll because they're too big to cover the guards, If it's Denver they have one of the only people that can actually stick around AG whenever he moves off that dunker spot in PJ Washington.
