N.Osaka is a 4-time grand slam champion. She has achieved more than 90% of her peers. Congrats to being a new mom. However, being a professional athlete nowadays requires strong mental health as well as dealing with the media on a consistent basis. Until she addresses these areas, her on-court game will not be sustainable. Good luck Naomi!!

4 slams is more than most players ever win. Look at Kyrgios. Rather than seeing lost potential, I think we should be amazed that she was able to accomplish that. She was really not built for the professional tennis circuit-- and I think the truth is that few players actually are. The fans, haters, social media, TV networks and media obligations can be overwhelming to some.
Particularly, when you're ridiculed for standing on your own principles and beliefs. Irregardless of the circumstances.
Some people can handle or overcome it; other people have challenges with it.
There is nothing wrong with that....
I admire her for having the courage to openly admit to the things that was hard for her to deal with.
Regarding her Country of choice to represent during the World Games; she said on numerous occasions that she wanted to represent her birth Country - something that she's always done.
If you have citizenship in the Country that you're born in, that's truly the Country that you're from. Despite the fact that you have multiple citizenships. Where you live and where you're from is two different things...

No matter what happens, they don’t let people get in there head. That is why they are so good! Great player, needs to work on the mental part of the game. You have to have both to succeed. Her tennis career is probably over though. Before getting pregnant she was out of shape and uninterested in tennis. Her game has not grown, it’s a big forehand and a big serve. Go for the winner. That’s it. Her mental health issues aren’t gone just because she’s a mother. She’s no longer the future of tennis. I started out as a fan but not anymore and I don’t miss her on the WTA.
