I actually used to live 2 and a half hours away from Orlando when I lived in Florida (Port Charlotte). Now, it's about a day's drive (so still not too far, considering), since I live in Georgia now. Side note: I'm House Targaryen. I have a natural resistance to both heat & cold, since my core body temperature is higher than normal. It's a result of me being from Washington, where it's really cold. This means: my body naturally gives off more heat than normal, making me be a human heater in cold weather. (I'm not kidding. My family & I were at Fright Fest 2 years ago, and it got freezing later. I was wearing nothing but an unzipped hoodie, a T-shirt, and a pair of jeans, and I was the warmest person there. Everyone huddled around me for warmth because of this.)
I really wish PA had cons....I don't think they do, at least not these big ones. It sucks since I live in PA and can't travel to any of these cool cons :(

Your body may be more adjusted to colder places but it's probably not "more than normal" heat...
TheButterGoddess It is possible to have a core body temperature a few degrees higher than normal, it's just extremely rare.
