Finally got to sit down with coffee and watch this morning. Looks awesome so far! As someone with limited time to spend on myself, I love the idea of Ironsworn but haven't found the time to learn the rules properly. This series doubles as a tutorial for me :D
Thanks much! I have the rules open in a reader, and I'm capturing it and my Chrome browser where I'm running Roll20 as two separate windows, and then just switching between them in OBS. There's probably an easier way to do it, but I'm pretty low-tech.
No problem, easiest thing: When creating a new game on Roll20, there's an optional choice below the "Names and Tags" section called "Optional: Choose a Character Sheet." Open that drop-down menu and select Ironsworn from the list. Once you're in the game, when you make a new character sheet, everything will be laid out for you. The only thing you may have to do is import the map, but that's easy enough to get from the Ironsworn pdfs.
@@FifthAceComics I tried doing this. I started a new game, chose the character sheet (there are 2, one named Ironsworn and one called Ironcrunch. I chose the former). Then I launched the game. Once in the game, there is the blank area for the map, and the space on the right with Chat/ Art Library/ Journal/ etc. That's all there is. I clicked on everything, but there is no sign of the character sheet, no oracles, nothing. I thought maybe I had to download something and so I went to the marketplace. I did a search for Ironsworn and nothing came up. On screen for you, between the map and the right column, you have that section with Ironsworn Character/ World Truths/ People and Settlements/ Ironsworn Journal. How do you access that?Is it supposed to appear automatically? I don't have any of that.
@@craigwilliams9279 Go to the Journals tab and click the +Add button. Select "Character" to make a new character sheet; all of the oracles and things are included in that. Select "Handout" to make a tab like the ones I used. Once you've created a journal of any kind, you can open it, then double click on the title to turn it into a moveable tab in the map area. For the map itself, download a jpeg, or if you have knowledge of Photoshop, the pdf from the Ironsworn site (it's free) and save it out as a jpeg. Then import it into Roll20 (instructions for this are easy enough to find online).

What a great overview! Thank you for making this available
Enjoy rewatching these so much
Great video bud!
Great vid... can I ask? How are you getting that writable document up overlaid over the rules...is that just a pdf reader like Foxit? Cheers
