The sun is kissing the old Spree River, as they leave Parisenplatz
They have waited the long long winter, to bring out their best spring hats
And sweet aromas from the bakery, are filling up the morning air.
And the city is slowly awakening, and I wipe away my tear.
As I walk along Rykestrasse to see the sceneries where they were
It’s so beautiful at Unter den Linden, but my mind is still a blur
The yellow tram squeaks by on its rusty tracks, stopping by the Adlon hotel
This is Berlin, the city of my heart, it’s the Berlin that I know so well.
And while watching the blue sky, I wave to the majestic Zeppelin
I’ll get a coffee and a donut and enjoy my morning walk in Berlin
But what’s the point of missing you my darling, I mean, what is done is done
and even though there are storms inside me, I can still feel the morning sun
While listening to the sirens down the harbour, while having a walk along the Spree
While having my hair cut by the barber, I feel it’s all Berlin to me
The video is filmed at the wonderful Second Life sim "The 1920s Berlin Project" created by Jo Yardley and this song and video is dedicated to "The 1920s Berlin Project", its creator and its people.

So sweet. A touch of country, a touch of Mumford. And there's something poignant about it. A worthy tribute to the Berlin of the 1920s.
